whining. You’ve probably heard the term before, but have you ever thought about what it actually means or how to do it? Well, if so, you’ve come to the right place! Whining is a common vocalization among dogs and humans, and depending on the context, it can have multiple meanings. In this article, we will go through the most common interpretations of whining and teach you how to do it.
Take a deep breath and close your mouth. Then hum high in the back of your throat, repeating the sound the puppy makes when it’s begging. Decrease altitude as you lose air.
Shut your mouth. Take a deep breath through your mouth, then close your lips to prepare to squeal. Relax the muscles around the lips and jaw, focusing on the throat muscles.
Make a high humming sound. With your mouth closed, hum slightly louder than your normal voice. If you feel tense while doing this, you are going too high.[4]
