White Castle Is Bringing Back Their Reservation-Only Valentine’s Day Dinner

Treat yourself like royalty at White Castle this Valentine’s Day.

On February 14, the fast food restaurant will transform into a sit-down “fine dining restaurant” so customers can celebrate their love in style. Guests will be treated to a hostess, table service and holiday decorations from 4 to 9 p.m. provided they make a reservation.

Reservations will be available starting January 5 through OpenTable at more than 300 locations nationwide.

White Castle has offered an annual Valentine’s Day Dinner since 1991 and welcomes tens of thousands of people to its February 14th festivities each year.

Similar to previous years, White Castle also introduces a special combination of meals for all lovers. The Love clutch collection will be available from February 9 to February 18, and the meal, served in a festive box, includes 10 cheese sliders, 20 chicken rings and fries.

White Castle is also releasing some special Valentine’s Day merchandise to celebrate the one-day transformation into the “Castle of Love,” including sunglasses, t-shirts, and even a silk robe.

Last year, the burger chain brought back its Valentine’s Day dinner service after a two-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even on hiatus from table service, the chain found a way to make Valentine’s Day special.

In 2021, White Castle still offered reservations for V-Day, but it was for an outside event.

Restaurants have turned their parking lots into old-fashioned drive-ins with carhop service. Customers with reservations pulled into the parking lot, were met by a member of the White Castle team who took their order, and their food was delivered to their cars.

Love seems to be in the air year-round at the fast food joint, considering husband and wife Jessica and Matt Fields first met after catching each other’s eyes on the White Castle freeway more than 25 years ago. year.

Their romance began in the summer of 1998 when Jessica was a 17-year-old lifeguard and her friend stopped in White Castle on her way to start her shift. While the teenagers were sitting in the car, she noticed a guy looking at them in the rearview mirror.

“I thought he was cute. He had a Duke Blue Devils baseball cap on…it just caught my eye,” she told PEOPLE.

Her friend Kristen got out of the car and went to talk to Matt, eventually giving him Jessica’s phone number. After everyone had ordered their food, they stopped their cars and talked some more. Two days later, Matt called Jessica and their relationship blossomed from then on.

White Castle will always have a special place in their hearts. “For some of the holidays we’ll go pick up White Castle, usually for our anniversary,” says Jessica.

And more often than not, on their anniversary, they will head to the same White Castle where they met. It is only 15 minutes from where they now live in Brownsburg, Indiana.
