Aaron Rodgers is meeting someone new.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback has recently been linked to model Mallory Edens, who is the daughter of Wes Edens, one of the primary owners of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Although the two have been seen next to each other at games for years, a source told PEOPLE in January 2023 that they are now dating — though it’s “nothing serious at all,” the source noted. “It’s more than friends, but it’s casual.” The insider added: “He doesn’t want to rush into anything. It’s low-key for now.”

In November 2019, Mallory mentioned Rodgers during an interview with ESPN and acknowledged his relationship with her family. “He sits next to us for so many games,” she said of the NFL quarterback at the time. – He and my dad are friends.

Sports aside, Mallory – who, in addition to modeling, is also a writer and activist – a quote Rodgers tweeted in 2018responding to his request to retweet in support of the wildfire fundraiser and further raise awareness of the topic. “A million dollars for fire relief! This is amazing,” she wrote in part.

Before Mallory, Rodgers was in a relationship with Big little lies actress Shailene Woodley, although they called off their engagement in February 2022.

She is the daughter of Wes Edens

Born in New York, Mallory is the daughter of Lynn and Wes Edens, billionaire private equity investors. In 2014, Wes became one of the primary owners of the Milwaukee Bucks. Four years later, Rodgers bought a minority ownership stake in an NBA team.

In addition to playing professional basketball, Wes is the co-owner of the Premier League football club Aston Villa, based in Aston, Birmingham, England. He became the majority shareholder together with business partner Nassef Sawiris in July 2018.

She is a model

According to Mallory’s Instagram, she is signed to several modeling agencies, including Ford Models, Women Management, and One Management. In 2019, she was supported by Elite Model Management, although it is unclear what her relationship with the agency is now.

Mallory uses her Instagram as a platform to share her work, often uploading professional photos to her page and crediting photographers she’s worked with.

She was an athlete at Princeton University

Mallory attended Princeton University and was among the class of 2018. During her time at the Ivy League school, she competed as a Division I athlete on the women’s track and field team. She was a middle-distance runner, according to her biography of a Princeton athlete. (Before running, she competed in horseback riding!)

She is an activist with an article published in Time

Mallory is an activist and uses her platform to spread awareness about issues that are important to her. In October 2017, she wrote the author’s text for Timecalled “The Problem with Pink Sports Jerseys”.

In the article, Mallory explains the problem with sports marketing. When she was an intern for the Milwaukee Bucks, she was turned away by the pink jerseys being sold — an action that in part furthered inequality in athletics.

“The problem is not the color itself, nor how pink is suitable for athletics or sports equipment,” she wrote about the specific shade of the jersey. “Rather, it’s a symptom of a bigger problem: our narrow view of what we expect from girls who are interested in sports.”

She adds: “There’s nothing exceptional about a girl being interested in sports. But by limiting girls and young women to the pink jersey section, we’re implying that somehow it should be.”

He’s known Aaron Rodgers for a while

The two have known each other for years as they have sat next to each other at Bucks games in the past. In 2019, Mallory posted a photo on Instagram of herself and the guard sitting courtside at a Bucks game — though she didn’t mention the athlete in the caption. Rodgers was linked to Danica Patrick at the time.

Most recently, Mallory was spotted supporting Rodgers from the stands as he made his debut for the New York Jets in September 2023.

She previously made headlines with Drake

Before dating Rodgers, Mallory made headlines with another household name: Drake. But the reason had nothing to do with romance – in fact, it had everything to do with sports.

The rapper, a die-hard Toronto Raptors fan, has been to as many basketball games as Mallory — so their commitment to their teams is intense. So much so that during Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals of the 2019 NBA Playoffs, the two pitted their competitiveness against each other.

Mallory wore a T-shirt to the game featuring Pusha Ta — who has had a history of feuding with Drake and infamously released a diss song about him in 2018 titled “The Story of Adidon” — to which Drake clapped back on social media.

The alleged “beef” between Mallory and Drake was cleared up during an interview with ESPN. “We don’t fight, we’re good,” the model said in November 2019.

She founded her own production company

Mallory founded a production company she called Little Ray Media. As she wrote in a post on Instagram, the company’s goal is to “tell stories by and about women and girls, through the financing, development and production of film, TV and other forms of premium content.

In 2023, it announced the company’s first product, bad genius, a love movie follows, Charlie Harper.

She spoke about her passion for her new venture while talking to Princeton Alumni Weekly in June 2024.

“Doing anything creative is incredibly entrepreneurial. I wish we celebrated that more,” she said. “That it’s not just okay with your Princeton education — who are the arbiters of that, anyway? — but that it’s incredible and badass and should be celebrated.”
