Chelsea Lazkani’s almost seven-year marriage is over.

The Selling Sunset star filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Jeff Lazkani, in March 2024. She cited “irreconcilable differences.”

Jeff and Chelsea met in 2015 and later married in August 2017. They had two children together and Jeff helped Chelsea develop her career in real estate. In fact, he introduced her to Jason Oppenheim – which led to her position at The Oppenheim Group.

So who is Chelsea Lazkani’s estranged husband? Keep reading to learn more about Jeff Lazkani and his relationship with the real estate star.

He’s from California

While Chelsea hails from London, Jeff was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California. According to his LinkedIn profile, he attended the University of San Diego, where he graduated with a degree in business administration, management and operations in 2005.

His lifelong residence in LA has made him a die-hard Lakers fan, a fact he’s so proud of that he boasts about it in his bio on his company’s website.

Chelsea and Jeff still spend a lot of time at Manhattan Beach, as Chelsea shared in an Instagram post in May 2019. “Where you’ll find us all summer ’19 ☀️,” she captioned a photo of the couple posing with their son Maddox on the beach .

In season 6 of Selling SunsetChelsea also held a broker open house at one of her listings in the area, although it was cut short due to drama among her colleagues.

He is the managing partner of a large media agency

Jeff works as managing partner for Icon Media Group, an advertising agency founded by his mother, Nancy Lazkani. His website bio jokes that he “literally grew up in the media industry,” watching his mother work in media for years and dabbling in various startup ventures before founding Icon Media in 2000.

Jeff has been with the firm for 17 years, serving in a variety of different roles, including account coordinator, director and vice president of business development and strategy before assuming the role of managing partner in 2021.

His gradual rise to the top mirrors his mother’s own achievements in past roles, as she has described in interviews about her journey as a media mogul. The tradition goes back even further, as Nancy Lazkani credits her father, Jeff’s grandfather, with her driving.

“He was not a rich man. He was the manager of a gourmet store and raised five children on a clerical salary. But he was very intelligent. He taught me how to swim with sharks without getting eaten alive,” Nancy said of her father in a 2002 profile. Response magazinerepublished on the Icon Media website.

He and Chelsea met on Tinder

Chelsea admitted that Jeff was her first date on the dating app Tinder when she first moved to LA. She also said she didn’t initially plan to stay in California for long, but stayed because of him.

“We talked about 15 times before we got together. I don’t want to waste my time and give my energy to someone if I don’t think it will pay off. I felt like I knew him before we even met and the connection was instant, Chelsea said of meeting Jeff in an interview with Daily Mail.

“Almost 2 years ago I came to Los Angeles on what was supposed to be a ‘short vacation’. I stayed because I fell in love… It was the best decision I ever made 💑”, she wrote.

He and Chelsea got married in 2017

Chelsea and Jeff Lazkani got married on August 12, 2017. Their wedding was held at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California.

The real estate agent wore a long, lacy white dress by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, while Jeff wore a classic black Tom Ford tuxedo.

The newlyweds celebrated the wedding with a long honeymoon, traveling across Thailand before stopping in Singapore and then on to the Maldives.

Chelsea reflected on her wedding day in an Instagram post to mark their first anniversary, writing: “August 12th, 2017 will forever be my favorite day.”

“Today I am more in love with you than our first wedding night from the fairy tale. Happy anniversary to my special, special husband. Another 100 years of hugging, kissing and laughing. My eternal love. ❤️,” she continued.

He and Chelsea have two children

The couple are the parents of two children: Maddox Ali Lavon Lazkani and Melija Iman Lazkani.

Chelsea and Jeff welcomed their son Maddox Ali Lavon on January 15, 2019.

“Thank you for giving our life a whole new meaning,” Chelsea wrote alongside photos of the newborn.

The couple expanded their family with the birth of daughter Melia Iman on November 11, 2020.

“Our perfect angel is here. I manifested you exactly on today, 11.11. I’ve dreamed of you all my life and I already love you from the deepest part of my heart,” Chelsea wrote in an Instagram post announcing Melia’s birth.

Maddox and Melia have been staples on Chelsea’s Instagram for years, and the mom of two often shares photos of her family of four.

He introduced Chelsea to Jason Oppenheim

Chelsea was already a successful real estate agent before joining the Oppenheim Group and the cast Selling Sunsetbut she managed to secure her place through a special connection: Jeff.

“I knew Jason through my husband and I said to him, ‘What do I have to do?'” Chelsea said Vogue in May 2022.

“You kind of see it play out on screen. I wasn’t sure if I would get in or not,” she continued.

Chelsea were able to prove how valuable they would be to The Oppenheim Group by making Oppenheim an offer above the asking price for one of their listed properties, and the rest is history.

In November 2022, Chelsea and Jeff enjoyed a double date with Oppenheim and his girlfriend Marie-Lou Nurk.

He supported Chelsea’s career in the real estate sector

In addition to his initial role representing Chelsea and Oppenheim, Jeff was a strong supporter of his wife as she pursued her career in real estate while balancing motherhood.

“I think the support of my husband and my family really prepared me to take on this big role and this big opportunity,” Chelsea told PEOPLE in May 2022. “But for me personally, I saw this as an opportunity to really open doors in an industry that lacked diversity and where minorities were undervalued.”

Jeff was also the person who encouraged Chelsea to try her hand at real estate when she decided she didn’t want to go back to being a business strategist after having children, according to her interview with Daily Mail.

Chelsea filed for divorce in March 2024

The real estate agent filed for divorce from Jeff on March 27, 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. Chelsea is seeking joint custody of the couple’s two children and spousal support from her estranged husband.

Although Chelsea did not talk about the reasons for their split at the time, she opened the eighth season Selling Sunsetwhich premiered in September 2024. In one episode, Chelsea’s costar and longtime nemesis, Bre Tiesi, reveals to her that her friend overheard Jeff “making out” in the hotel lobby with another woman.

“I just wanted to come to you woman to woman because I was here. I was married, my husband was doing the same thing with multiple women,” Tiesi said, referring to her ex-husband Johnny Manziel.
