Edwards and Cher first met at Paris Fashion Week in September 2022. Although they weren’t photographed together then, the Grammy winner posed for photos with Edwards’ friend Tyga.

Edwards is 37 and Cher is 77, but the Grammy winner isn’t bothered by the decades between the two. “LOVE DOESN’T KNOW MATH, IT SEES ❤️ ❤️,” Cher wrote in a now-deleted tweet captured by The Shade Room.

Cher has a history of dating younger men, including Val Kilmer, Tom Cruise and Rob Camilletti in the 1980s.

Engagement rumors began circulating after Edwards bought Cher a massive diamond ring for Christmas.

“NO WORDS,” the “Believe” singer captioned a picture of the ring on Twitter.

On New Year’s Eve, Cher showed off her new blister in a photo with Edwards – but she wasn’t wearing a diamond on her ring finger.

In February 2023, a source told PEOPLE that the couple was “not talking about marriage” yet.

He helped Cher cope with the loss of her mother
