Morgan doesn’t have an official fashion degree, though she noted in an interview with ShoutoutLA that she “developed her own curriculum” and took extended classes at Woodbury University, OTIS College of Art and Design, and FIDM.

She went on to say about her education:

“I moved to Alabama and earned a degree in sales and marketing from the prestigious HBC Tuskegee University.” When I was 18, I started my first business, sewing ties and decorating denim and selling handmade jewelry from my dorm room.”

Chyanne worked in the fashion business for years, but while working for Amazon she discovered that she wasn’t satisfied with just styling and wanted to be a designer instead. Ciara Chyanne Morgan launched her Fashioned In Faith podcast in 2019 and shared her story with the world, talking about how she often felt the absence of mentors in the profession intensely. She tried to be herself in her podcast, commenting on the things she is most knowledgeable about. The podcast also offers services and tools to help other self-taught designers in their education.

Color, silhouette and texture inspire the Making the Cut designer brand. Her designs are mainly focused on providing upgraded basics and simple combinations for the fashion enthusiast.

According to her website:

“CIARA CHYANNE IS A LIFESTYLE, NOT JUST A CLOTHES.” WIFE CIARA CHYANNE ENJOYS STANDING OUT IN THE ROOM AND DOESN’T LOOK LIKE SHE’S TRYING. SHE IS FLAWLESS, FEARLESS, SMART AND FULL OF RISKS BY FAITH.”
