One of the three children was reportedly found alive fighting a gunshot wound, but her two brothers and her mother were unable to survive the incident. A GoFundMe was reportedly set up to send financial aid to Jackson’s surviving daughter. The incident occurred Monday when the suspect fired the first shot from a firearm at the children’s mother and then at her three children. After shooting them, he turned the gun on himself. Jimenez, the police chief, said: “The daughter then saw the boyfriend shoot her mother in her face and then she responded with fight or flight. Her intelligence was incredible when she knew you had to get out of there. And he fired about seven shots to try to kill her. He hit her on her left hand with a bullet.”
