The Next Level Chef is back for a new season and 18 new chefs are ready to compete in the culinary challenge. The second season of the series will air on Fox on Sunday, February 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET, after the Super Bowl. For mentoring, the contestants will be divided into three groups. Atlanta chef Darryl Taylor is one of the world-renowned chefs vying for the $250,000 grand prize with Team Richard Blais. Taylor founded Epicurean Drama Caterers and Events, a catering company, 12 years ago.
His patrons praised him for providing outstanding service with “a bit of drama, especially epic drama.” While preparing meals, he is known to have thrown away all spoons, measuring cups, and regulations. Taylor is known as the “Drama Chef” because of his spectacular food serving performances.
Fox described the following chef as follows:
“Talented contestants from across the country compete against each other and showcase their culinary skills in front of a respected jury for the coveted title.”
Next-level chef contestant Darryl Taylor made a guest appearance on ABC’s In Good Taste.
Darryl Taylor, 52, is a chef who appeared as a guest on ABC’s In Good Taste. Before moving to Atlanta, he worked as a sous chef for various event companies in Memphis, Tennessee, and was the owner of Taylor’s Riverfront, an upscale event venue. Darryl later founded Epicurean Drama Caterers & Events, which is known for serving fresh, modern food and eye-catching decor. Many celebrities have used the company’s services, including NeNe Leakes, Lisa Nicole Cloud, Samuel L. Jackson, and Phaedra Parks.
His company slogan is:
“When it’s memorable, an Epicurean play.”
The Next Level Chef contestant said in an interview that he initially turned down the show. But he said he only agreed to participate because Gordon Ramsay was one of the mentors. Darryl admits that Ramsay is the hero of his novel, saying:
“I’ve always insisted that if I was ever on a show with him, he wouldn’t have told me so, but I never thought I’d have the chance to be on one of his shows.”

Taylor said in an interview before filming that he would marry Ramsay if he could. He then asked the cameraman to delete the recording, but this person refused. Shortly after the tournament began, Darryl realized that Gordon had seen the video and was pursuing him. When Ramsay was asked what his favorite bread was, he said “chicken curry and dried cranberry sandwich.”
Darryl says the bread is popular with his customers, but Gordon dismisses it because “it’s on the bread”. The first to respond to Ramsay, saying:
“Well, let me tell you this. You’ll make you hit your mother.”
Taylor later said it didn’t bother him much after that. On the set of Next Level Chef, his colleagues nicknamed him “The Drama Chef”. Darryl went on to note that meeting Ramsay was an “out of body experience”.
