George Will was born in Champaign, Illinois on May 4, 1941 to Louise Hendrickson Will and Frederick L. Will. His father was a professor of philosophy who specialized in epistemology. He attended University of Laboratory High School or Urbana High School in Illinois.
He finished high school in 1959. After graduating from high school, he attended Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated in religion in 1962. He later attended Oxford University. In 1968, he obtained a doctorate in science. in political science.
