He competed for NWA New Zealand and achieved incredible regional success. He later moved to the United States in the late 1980s. He was best known as a member of the tag team, the Sheepherders, in Mid-South Wrestling, Championship Wrestling of Florida, and other organizations, as well as the Bushwhackers in WWE. He and Bushwhacker Luke (Brian Wickens) formed a partnership in 1965.
They would wrestle for several companies around the world, including the Continental Wrestling Association in Memphis, All Japan Pro Wrestling, various NWA territories, Stampede Wrestling, the Globe Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico, New Japan Pro Wrestling and others.
