News about Jeff Tiedrich

In the age of Trump, being online always feels like you’re stuck in a disorganized time loop. Along with his general love for the show, the president’s feisty presence on Twitter keeps viewers in a constant state of reaction. He often changes what he just said or did several times in a day, but the cartoon battle cloud around him never changes.

However, that doesn’t mean political observers have to be equally repetitive in their reactions just because the president’s scathing remarks come at such a rapid rate that they tend to get confused.

Yet on every Trump-related story, pundits of all stripes yell the same outdated comment into the echo chamber every day without fail. This pattern has become a well-rehearsed dance in recent years: Trump leads, politics follows Twitter, etc.

While reading Trump’s latest offensive comment is horrifying enough, being surrounded by so many falsely quoted and witty tweets makes it even worse.

However, things do not have to be this way. While some people might benefit, not everyone should ignore Trump completely. Instead, Politics Twitter just needs to come up with some new approaches to responding to the online uproar that Trump is causing, or at the very least, take back some of the funnier responses that used to be funny but have since turned into conveyor belt talk.

Trying not to rely solely on “hits” can be difficult. Some of the tropes listed here are ones I have personally used. However, it would go a long way to making each day between now and the election less like the day before if everyone stopped supporting them at this point.
