In 2016 Jelly Roll asked Bunnie XO to marry him while on stage in Las Vegas. That same night, unbeknownst to friends and family, the couple spontaneously married in a courthouse wedding.

In addition to becoming Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO also became stepmother to the country singer’s daughter, Bailee, and son, Noah.

While simultaneously helping Jelly Roll continue his music career, Bunnie XO also pursued her dream of starting a podcast. In 2019, she published the first episode of the series Stupid blonde audio broadcast.

Her impressive guest list includes country singers Brantley Gilbert and Priscilla Block, among others. It releases new episodes every week.

She met Jelly Roll in 2015

Bunnie XO met her future husband while attending one of his concerts in Las Vegas at the Country Saloon in 2015.

While guesting on a comedy podcast King and the Sting and the Wing Clips, Jelly Roll revealed that he and Bunnie XO were talking backstage, but she was in a relationship at the time. The pair stayed in touch through mutual friends, and when Bunnie XO became single not long after, their friendship quickly turned romantic.

“They split up, and I’m not going to act like I shot. She kind of shot her own,” Jelly Roll told the audio show hosts.

When Jelly Roll found out about Bunnie XO’s breakup and that she was interested in him, he told her about his upcoming plans to drive to Las Vegas and shoot a music video. According to the “Save Me” singer, Bunnie XO offered him to crash at her place and the rest is history.

“It’s a white trash love story,” joked Jelly Roll, explaining that he was “broke” and living in his van at the time. “When I hugged her, I could just feel her sincerity. I could tell it wasn’t acting.”

She and Jelly Roll had an impromptu wedding in Las Vegas

After a year of dating in 2016, Jelly Roll proposed to Bunnie XO while on stage at a Yelawolf and Deftones concert in Las Vegas.

The lovebirds decided to elope right then and there, getting married in a nearby courthouse.

“We got married randomly,” Jelly Roll shared on King and the Sting and the Wing Clips podcast. “It was Vegas, wasn’t it? So it’s about 11 o’clock. Hard Rock closes the date [Cafe] and I’m like, ‘F— that. Let’s go now.’ She says, ‘The courtroom is open for about another 34 to 44 minutes.’ I thought, ‘Let’s—– roll her.’ ”

Despite their love, Jelly Roll said people have had doubts about him and Bunnie XO over the years.

“We endured. We were like a story that nobody made up. She’s my best friend, man. It really is,” he said.

She and Jelly Roll renewed their vows in 2023

On August 31, 2023, Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO renewed their wedding vows at the chapel in Las Vegas where they were married in 2016.

The podcaster shared a video of the ceremony on Instagram, showing the couple laughing and kissing at the altar. Bunnie XO wore a tight white dress, while Jelly Roll chose a black and maroon suit.

“Lucky #7 🎰 Happiest girl in the world. Tonite was such a dream✨,” she wrote.

She is the stepmother

When Bunnie XO married Jelly Roll in 2016, she also became a stepmother to the country singer’s daughter from a previous relationship. Jelly Roll also has a son, Noah.

In one episode Stupid blonde podcast, Bunnie XO opened up about her relationship with her stepdaughter and Bailee’s biological mother, Felicia. Bunnie XO also revealed how she helped Jelly Roll get custody of Bailee in 2017.

Jelly Roll has opened up on social media about Bunnie XO’s interference in his daughter’s life. In a May 2020 Facebook post, he wrote of Bunnie XO and Bailee’s “beautiful mother-daughter relationship,” noting that “it takes a special kind of woman to raise a child that isn’t her own and still treat the child as if she were was.”

“You are the epitome of a good mom and you deserve more praise than anyone because you didn’t have to act like that,” Jelly Roll added of his wife. “You decided to step up and you knocked it out of the park. Thank you mama bear — we love you.”

In 2022, Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll walked their first red carpet together at the 56th CMA Awards at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

A year later, the pair attended the 2023 CMA Awards, where Jelly Roll won New Artist of the Year.

“I have a thousand people to thank, but most importantly, my Lord and my wife,” the singer said during his speech. “I love you so much. You changed my life.”

Most recently, Bunnie XO joined her husband at the ACM Awards in May 2024. That night, Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson took home the award for Musical Event of the Year after collaborating on “Save Me.”

Jelly Roll wants his fans to know that he would not be where he is today without the unconditional love and support of Bunnie XO.

The CMT Music Award-winning musician penned a heartfelt “thank you post” in honor of his wife on Instagram, highlighting the many ways she inspires him on a daily basis.

“My story is often talked about or talked about a lot, but the truth is that I have never been more moved by a story than the story of my wife,” Jelly Roll captioned a photo of them together. “Watching what this woman has overcome and her passion and determination to be something better has inspired me from the moment I met her. She saved me in one of the darkest periods of my life. She was just supportive.”

When it comes to fostering a deep connection, Jelly Roll truly believes that communication is key. The “Son of a Sinner” singer shared that he and Bunnie XO “prioritize communication” and don’t shy away from talking about difficult topics.

“Someone asked me the other day what is the secret of our marriage. I didn’t even have to think about it — it’s simple — we’re comfortable having awkward conversations,” he said on Instagram in 2020. “We’ve learned to laugh at the little s— and most of all we don’t take everything too seriously.”

About his wife, Jelly Roll added: “This woman is the backbone of my life, she’s beautiful, smart, funny and you wouldn’t believe how silly she really is.”

She and the Jelly Roll’s experienced an emergency landing in their private jet

While en route to the 2024 CMT Music Awards in Austin, Texas in April 2024, Jelly Roll and Bunny XO’s private jet had to make an emergency landing after experiencing technical problems.

In a TikTok video Bunnie XO shared on TikTok after they were on the ground, Jelly Roll said the plane had a “computer problem.”

Later, Bunnie XO wrote in a reply to one of her followers: “We are a good baby but that was scary.”
