Bachelor host Jesse Palmer may not have ended up with any of the Season 5 contestants, but he has found love with model Emely Fardo — and they’re going to be parents!

In August 2023, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child, a girl.

“I am so excited to share life with our daughter, take her on fun adventures, and share with her the lessons this life has taught us,” Fardo told PEOPLE.

Shortly after ABC announced that Palmer would take over the popular franchise in September 2021, PEOPLE confirmed that the former Bachelor the leading man was married. Palmer previously appeared on the series as the fifth Bachelor in 2004. He ended his season dating Jessica Bowlin, but the couple broke up a month later.

Palmer started dating Fardo around 2017, and the two got engaged in Paris in July 2019. “I was so in love, so in love with this woman and it just grew. I’m in love with her,” he told the Daily mail after their engagement. In 2020, the couple said “I do” in an intimate ceremony after postponing their original wedding plans due to the pandemic. In 2022, they celebrated their love with a second wedding.

The two are not shy about sharing photos of their romance on social media. They regularly update fans on Instagram with snaps from their lives at home and vacations around the world (the couple also make frequent appearances, adorable Aussie Doodle, LouLou).

So who is Jesse Palmer’s wife? Here’s everything you need to know about Emely Fardo and her relationship with the TV host.

She is a model and photographer

Fardo is originally from Brazil, but later moved to New York to start her career. Although it is not clear when she started modeling, she announced in 2016 about her new modeling comp cards from New York Model Management.

Most of the photos Fardo has shared on her Instagram page seem to be from various fashion shoots, but she has also posted pictures of herself walking down the catwalk.

Fardo doesn’t just enjoy being in front of the camera — she also worked as a professional photographer. Before that, the Brazilian model shared several of her professional photos on Instagram. In 2016 and 2017, Fardo posted some of her food photos, including cocktails and syrupy pancakes from a restaurant in New York. She also shared a wedding photo she took of a recently married couple.

She and Palmer met at a boxing class

Although Palmer and Fardo both work in the entertainment industry, they met outside of class – at a boxing class.

After getting engaged, the former NFL quarterback said yes Daily mail that he and Fardo met at a boxing class and that he immediately felt a connection with her. “She taught me, she cares for me like no one else,” he continued. “She made me the best version of myself. She loves me unconditionally.”

They kept their wedding a secret

Fardo and Palmer talk a lot about their relationship online, but the two have kept their wedding a secret. In fact, fans didn’t even realize they were married until they were seen wearing wedding rings in the summer of 2021.

The couple tied the knot on June 5, 2020 in a quiet and private ceremony at a close friend’s home in Connecticut after having to cancel initial plans to get married in Provence, France. “We were only able to invite a small group of close friends who live in the greater NYC area and were in quarantine at the time,” they told PEOPLE. “We had a lovely afternoon and look forward to celebrating our love together with our parents and immediate family soon!”

Despite the scaled-down ceremony, the newlyweds couldn’t be happier about their wedding. “Big or small, wedding party or not, we are so grateful and happy to have found each other!” they said.

In June 2023, Palmer marked the couple’s anniversary with a sweet Instagram post. “The love of my life 💕”, he wrote with a selfie of himself and Fard. “#Happy Anniversary.”

They had their second wedding in France

In July 2022, Fardo revealed that the couple had a second wedding at Château De La Gaude, a luxury hotel in Aix-en-Provence, France. She shared photos of her and Palmer in the garden, both looking beautiful in their wedding attire.

“And so this happened… I married the love of my life AGAIN, but this time in front of our immediate family,” she captioned the post. “It was a dream come true and the most beautiful and emotional day of my life! I will never forget it.”

On October 12, 2022, Fardo reflected on the joyous event by sharing black-and-white photos on Instagram of her and Palmer at their wedding venue. Later that month, she retweeted her wedding announcement, sharing snaps on Instagram of herself putting on an earring and another picture of her slipping on a pair of earrings. “Details ✨”, she wrote in the description.

He likes to travel

Fardo loves to travel, and her Instagram is full of photos from her travels around the world.

She has previously posted photos of herself swimming in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, hanging out with Palmer on a boat in Italy, drinking wine in France and sightseeing in London – just to name a few.

When it came time for Palmer to pop the question, Bachelor the host knew the perfect place for it. He planned a secret trip to Paris, where the couple were on their first vacation together, but told Fard they were going to his home in Montreal to avoid suspicion.

“On Monday morning I surprised her and said ‘Pack your bags, we’re going to the airport,'” he said Daily mail. The couple spent a few days in Paris before heading to Champagne, where Palmer surprised Fardo with a 3.5-carat diamond ring.

“I was trying to find the right one that she would like. I wanted to get the right ring shape, setting and band,” he said. “She said I knocked it out of the park.”

In December 2022, Fardo shared photos from a romantic trip to Saint Barths, including a sweet picture of her and Palmer smiling in sunglasses and another of them kissing on the beach.

“Saint Barths is definitely a great place to celebrate a birthday!! Birthday week with my love 🎂🎉🥂,” she wrote in the description.

In March 2023, Fardo traveled to Thailand to visit Palmer on set Bachelor.

“Look who came to visit me in Thailand!!!” the television presenter captioned a photo on Instagram of the couple swimming in the country’s blue-green water.

She and Palmer have a dog

Fardo and Palmer adopted their dog LouLou in 2020. The Australian Shepherd/Poodle mix has her own Instagram, which lists her full name as Mademoiselle Loulou Palmer. The puppy’s bio states that she is “the sweetest of the beasts” and will “do anything for food.” Loulou is regularly seen in photos with Fard and Palmer on their Instagrams.

He likes to exercise – often with Palmer

Considering how the couple first met, it’s no surprise that Fardo is a big fan of exercise. The model regularly shares photos of herself doing different types of exercises, often with Palmer as her gym buddy.

She posted photos of the pair doing pilates and shared a snap of herself going for a run with Loula in tow.

Fardo and Palmer also continued boxing training after the encounter – in 2020, Fardo shared that she completed 12 Rumble boxing classes in three weeks and brought Palmer to complete the challenge.

The couple will have their first child, a daughter, in January 2024.

“Emely has always wanted a daughter and she is so motherly by nature, I always knew she would be the best mom,” Palmer told PEOPLE in their August 2023 release. fingers!”

While speaking with PEOPLE, Fardo described her pregnancy as “really good” considering she’s still able to exercise daily and hasn’t experienced a decreased appetite.

“I am so excited to share life with our daughter, take her on fun adventures and share with her the lessons this life has taught us,” she added.

In November 2023, during a performance at Living with Kelly and MarkPalmer shared all the ways he’s preparing to become a first-time dad.

“I’m so excited. I’ve been watching birthing videos, I’ve been watching changing videos, changing diapers,” he said. “I’m reading a book on education. I’m doing everything.”
