Ava Zonfrillo, the eldest daughter of celebrity chef Jock Zonfrillo, has broken her silence on her father’s death with a heartbreaking tribute to the chef. Ava, 22, shared a moving memory of her father three weeks after his death on Sunday. Ava herself took to her Instagram and wrote that she still can’t accept that she’ll remember him any more than they spent with him, but that doesn’t mean she’ll love him any less. The post was accompanied by eight photos and two videos of Zonfrillo, some showing father and daughter together in Ms. Zonfrillo’s childhood and some more recent images.
Ava is the daughter of Jock and his first wife, Amanda Ewing. Ava initially followed in her father’s footsteps into the culinary world, working in catering and public relations. She currently works in fashion for the AMPR communication agency. The 22-year-old graduated from Sydney University of Technology in 2019 and has been living in Sydney’s Bondi Beach since 2021. He opened up about these struggles in his 2021 memoir Last Shot. He opened several restaurants in Australia, the most successful of which was Adelaide’s award-winning Orana restaurant, which opened in 2013. However, Orana closed in 2020 and Zonfrillo ended the year millions of dollars in debt.
