Rapper Lil Durk wants to spend “the rest of his life” with his girlfriend India Royale.

The Chicago-born rapper, whose birth name is Durk Derrick Banks, shares his hometown with his longtime partner, model and influencer India Royale. The couple started dating sometime around 2017 before Lil Durk became popular with notable collaborations.

After being featured on Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” in 2020, Lil Durk worked with Morgan Wallen on “Broadway Girls” in 2021. His star continued to rise as he worked with artists including Kanye West and J. Cole, who featured guest verse on Lil Durk’s 2023 Grammy-nominated single “All My Life.”

India was by his side on his musical journey. A fashion brand ambassador and lifestyle YouTube vlogger, India is also the mother of two children, Skylar and Willow. Willow welcomed Lil Durk in 2018, a year after they started dating.

Rapper “Jonah” has been vocal about his love for India, writing songs for her and praising her in interviews. “She will always be my girlfriend,” he said XXL magazine in 2023. “We will always be together. That’s exactly why I’m dying.”

With more than 5 million followers on Instagram, India is a model and influencer. As an ambassador for Fashion Nova, she often represents this online brand in a selection of clothes on her YouTube channel.

India also enjoys sharing travel content, uploading photos and videos of her travels to locations like Bali, South Korea and Singapore.

She posts on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok about raising her children, Skylar and Willow, as well as taking care of Sage, the dog she shares with Lil Durk.

She got engaged to Lilo Durk in 2021

Lil Durk and India started dating around 2017 and got engaged four years later.

During his performance at the 2021 Lollapalooza music festival, Lil Durk brought India on stage, where he popped the question, surrounded by friends and family, including their children, Skylar and Willow.

“You know I love you to death, you’ve held me back… when I’ve been through a lot,” he said, getting down on one knee. “You were the most real to me and I love you to death… Do you want to be my wife?”

The audience cheered as he handed India the microphone and allowed her to respond, accepting his suggestion. “I said yes.’ #issafiancé,” she wrote afterwards on Instagram, sharing photos of the event.

In 2022, India announced on Instagram that she was a “free agent,” leading fans to believe she was single. After multiple Lil Durk posts celebrating India’s presence in his life, she posted on X (formerly Twitter) in March 2023, writing, “I’m very alone. Been, been.”

Despite these announcements, Lil Durk confirmed that XXL magazine the following month that the couple was still in a relationship, and in December of the same year, India shared a video with the ring on xwriting: “😍 I can’t wait to see my wedding ring.”

She is the mother of two daughters

India welcomed their first daughter, Skylar, during a previous relationship in 2014. Four years later, Lil Durk and India celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Willow. The rapper has seven children, including Skylar, whom he considers one of his own.

“Big Sky is India’s daughter. You know I was with her. So she is one of mine. She’s actually smart as hell. She would try to teach me how to dress,” he said XXL magazine his relationship with Skylar. Lil Durk joked about his youngest daughter: “Willow is mean and sneaky.”

India has an Instagram page dedicated to her daughters, where she shares cute photo shoots and important events, like birthday parties.

Since Willow was born on Halloween, her birthday parties often become a celebration of the holiday as well. In 2023, India shared photos from her daughter’s Willoween-themed fifth birthday party, where Willow was dressed as Minnie Mouse and trick or treat candy stations were set up for partygoers.

Lil Durk and India also share a dog named Sage. In 2024, she revealed on x that Lil Durk chose his name.

He publishes vlogs on YouTube

India shares her life on her YouTube channel with videos ranging from nights out with Lil Durk to partying with friends and trying on clothes.

She even published a personal account of the birth of her daughter Willow on her vlog. The intimate video shows the couple preparing for their daughter’s arrival at the hospital, giving birth, and Lil Durk helping to care for India after the birth.

In November 2023, India posted a vlog of her and Lil Durk celebrating his birthday with friends in Turks and Caicos. The video shows the special details India organized for her boyfriend’s birthday celebration, including balloons, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. She also planned a bicycle trip for the whole team.

Lil Durk then shared the photos on Facebook, praising India for making him famous. “Makes me want to celebrate birthdays again,” he wrote. “I feel that love.”

She is friends with Lil Wayne’s daughter

India is a friend of Reginae Carter, the daughter of Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne. Both women are ambassadors for Fashion Nova, and Reginae is also a vlogger, with the duo occasionally appearing in each other’s videos.

In September 2023, Reginae posted a vlog of a girls’ trip to Malibu, where she and her friends, including India, went to the beach and a carnival.

Reginae also appeared in an Indian vlog about organizing her first Friendsgiving. In the video, all the guests wear the same pajamas and go around sharing what they are grateful for.

“I’m grateful to move to LA … and to be with genuine people,” Carter said. “I’m thankful for my family and friends,” India said. “I’m so grateful to have met you.”

Lil Durk wrote songs for her

In 2017, Lil Durk released a music video for his song “India” featuring his then-girlfriend, who was the song’s muse. “I don’t wanna pretend with you/Talking India/I wanna do everything under the sun,” he raps on the track.

He followed up the song with “India Pt. 2″ in 2018, and in 2020 he released another song dedicated to his girlfriend called “India Pt. 3.”

“The way you snatched my heart, feel as you had already already/The way I kiss your lips, feel like I kissed you already”, raps Lil Durk in the third song.
