Biography of Myles Kennedy
Myles Richard Bass was born on November 27, 1969 in a Christian Science family in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. He spent most of his growing up years in Spokane, Washington. Kennedy’s father died when he was four, and his mother later married a Methodist minister.
He completed his education at Mead High School, where he also played trumpet in the marching band and guitar in the jazz band. In an adolescent air guitar band when he was ten, Kennedy played trumpet and was influenced by Led Zeppelin, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. He studied music at Spokane Falls Community College after graduating in 1988.

In 1990, Myles Kennedy joined the Cosmic Dust Fusion Band as their lead guitarist, marking the beginning of his musical career.
