Rob Liefeld was born on October 3, 1967 in the United States. His mother worked as a part-time secretary, while his father was a Baptist minister. Together with his sister, who is seven years older than him, he spent most of his childhood in Anaheim, California. In his childhood, he copied pictures from various comic books. His love for comics inspired him to become a professional artist. He attended basic art subjects in high school.
He met many famous creators while attending a comic book convention at the Disneyland Hotel, including Jim Shooter, Marv Wolfman, George Pérez, Bob Layton, John Romita Jr. and Mike Zeck. Career
Rob Liefeld began his professional career when he got a job at DC and Marvel comics straight out of high school. In his early 20s, Liefeld took over the New Mutants comic book series and transformed it into the dominant force in the business, X-Force! Shatterstar, Reaper, Stryfe, Gideon, Warpath, Kane, Deadpool and many other new characters were among those he introduced. Marvel comics, the market leader, has created numerous popular books thanks to the X-force series. After the success of X-Force, Liefeld founded Image Comics in 1992 along with other famous creators like Erik Larsen, Jim Valentino, Jim Lee and Marco Silvestri.
In addition, he founded the comic book publishing company Extreme Studios, which featured several of Liefeld’s works, including Bloodstrike, Glory, Brigade, Avengelyne, and Prophet. Authors including Chris Claremont, Joe Casey, Robert Kirkman, Alan Moore, Jeph Loeb and many others have collaborated with Liefeld on important projects. He was commissioned to write a five-part Heroes Reborn limited series titled Onslaught Reborn in 2006.
