Roberta Shore was born on April 7, 1943 in Monterey Park, California, USA. They were raised in the Los Angeles suburb of San Gabriel, along with her siblings Dorothy Madeline Schourup and Stanley Wilford Schourup.
Her parents raised her in the Christian faith. She discovered that she was a performer and singer at the age of ten and began performing and singing in San Gabriel and the surrounding city. She came through Tex William’s television program when she was 11 and became a regular performer on The Pinky Lee Show.

Roberta Shore’s acting career began when she starred in several Walt Disney productions starring the Mouseketeers. She recalls being rejected at the Mouseketeer audition because she was taller than the other cast members. She jokingly remarked that she towered over them.
She appeared in “Annette’s Self-Titled Series” as Annette Funicello’s rival Laura Rogan. She also appeared in “The Shaggy Dog” in 1959 as the French-speaking Francesca. Not only did Roberta appear in Disney films, but she also appeared in the 1959 film adaptation of Blue Denim and made a cameo appearance in A Summer Place as Anne Talbert, Sandra Dee’s gossipy schoolmate.
Then, in 1960, she played Ricky Summers in the movie “Because they are young”. She then played Jenny Bell in “The Young Savage” in 1961 and Lorna in Stanley Kubrick’s 1962 version of Lolita. Other television appearances include “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet,” “Playhouse 90,” “The Donna Reed Show” and “The Lawrence Welk Show.”
She also appeared in a number of Western television series, including The Tall Man, Maverick, Laramie, Lawman and Wagon Train. In addition, she regularly played Joyce on The New Bob Cummings Show and Father Knows Best.
In the mid-1960s, she gave up acting and became more involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1984, she returned as a radio disc jockey and host in Salt Lake City, Utah.
