Ryan Coogler was born in Oakland, California. Joselyn, the community leader, is his mother’s name. Ira Coogler, a probation officer at a juvenile facility, is his father. Keenan and Noah are Ryan’s other two siblings.
Until the age of 8, he lived in Oakland. He eventually moved to Richmond, California. When Ryan was a teenager, he loved playing football and competing in track and field. He attended Saint Mary’s College High School in Berkeley, California for his education. He received a football scholarship to attend this university.
