Taylor Lewan and his wife Taylin Lewan (née Gallacher) had a whirlwind romance. The NFL player and former model first met in February 2016 — and got engaged a month after they met.

“I met him once in passing because I met his mom first. I met him and she said, ‘Don’t talk to my son. He will fall in love with you.’ And I said, ‘Okay, no problem,'” Taylin recounted Out of bounds podcast in 2022.

She continued: “Right before I was supposed to move to LA, I got into a conversation with him and then he followed me outside. If Taylor wants something, he’s going to get it.”

The couple tied the knot in April 2016, but waited to announce the news until later that summer in July. The following year, Taylor and Taylin had their first child, daughter Wynne. They expanded their family again with another daughter, Willow, born in July 2019.

Taylin is originally from Kelowna-Lake Country in British Columbia, Canada. Over the years, she took her husband and their children on trips to visit the beautiful sights of her homeland, including camping.

Meanwhile, when she’s stateside, Taylin shows her pride in being from the Great White North in various ways, like wearing a Canadian tuxedo to “represent” her “heritage.”

She is a former model

On Out of bounds podcast, Taylin revealed that while living in Florida, she was in demand for modeling “at 17 or 18.” She recalled thinking she would see where the profession would take her, which included her shooting editorials for brands like Calvin Klein.

The Canadian shared several photos from her modeling days up until 2015 on Instagram.

However, it was not her passion. She shared further Out of bounds that she “had a hard time” in the modeling industry and hoped it would be a stepping stone to another path.

“I thought, ‘It has to lead to something else, there’s a different calling I have to have,'” Taylin said. It was around this time, at the age of 20, that she met Taylor – but it was an almost failed relationship.

Soon after their paths crossed, she was set to sign a modeling contract in Los Angeles, and Taylor followed her west.

Speaking further Out of boundsTaylin revealed that she met Taylor in February 2016. The NFL player later explained on his Instagram that he started dating her 10 days before Valentine’s Day 2016. At the time, he was in Arizona while she was living in Nashville.

“You guys were coming back to Nashville and I was so scared if you would even come back,” he wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of them. “Two weeks later you came back to AZ and we got engaged, I love you so much.”

According to Taylin, she only knew Taylor for five weeks before he proposed.

They escaped in April 2016

Taylor and Taylin were married on April 20, 2016 in an intimate church ceremony in Tennessee. She was officiated by a priest the couple “hired 24 hours in advance,” according to Taylor’s Instagram.

Taylin added that they decided to get married “three days before.” The next day, she published the first photo with her current husband on her Instagram, in which the two are kissing at the wedding.

Three months later, Taylor and Taylin announced their engagement in separate social media posts, but stopped short of sharing that they were already husband and wife.

The athlete posted a photo of Taylin playfully placing her hand over his mouth with the diamond ring front and center. He revealed that he did not believe in “love at first sight” until he met her. Taylor shared how she had a significant impact on him, even though they were only together for a short time.

“She is truly the most beautiful, strong, kind hearted woman I have ever met and I will work every day to make sure she is the happiest woman in the world,” he wrote.

Taylin also celebrated the happy news with a photo of Taylor kissing her hand, writing: “This guy stopped me in my tracks and showed me what a man is capable of.”

Taylor and Taylin tied the knot in a more formal wedding ceremony with family and friends in Big Sur, California on July 7, 2018.

The outdoor wedding had a backdrop of redwoods and the coast. Décor for the special occasion included watercolor paintings and art inspired by ocean waves.

Event organizer Jessica Sloane revealed that Taylor originally wanted guests to get tattoos on the spot, but they settled for a tarot card reader instead. Their daughter Wynne was also part of the ceremony.

They have two daughters

Taylin announced she was pregnant with their first daughter on Instagram in February 2017. She revealed the news with a personal video of them dancing together after finding out she was “having a sweet baby girl.”

Wynne was born in July 2017, and the new mom shared her exciting arrival by explaining the meaning behind her unique name.

“We welcomed our baby girl, Wynne Rebel Lewan,” Taylin captioned an Instagram photo of her husband with their newborn. “She got her name from her great-grandfather Wynn. I have never been more in love with a beautiful little human and the man who gave her to me. My heart is overwhelmed.”

A few years later, she announced her second pregnancy on Instagram in March 2020, along with a sweet picture of her baby bump with daughter Wynne and a sonogram. Along with the photos, she wrote: “Where is your sister?” July 2020 🤍🙏🏻.”

Indeed, Willow arrived later that summer. “We welcomed our second baby girl last week. In all this chaos, everything in our world is right,” Taylin wrote on Instagram, next to a photo of her daughter. “Taking every second with baby Willow.. 🍃.”

She is a protector of animals

Taylin is an animal lover, and this passion started with her dog Akira, which she has had since 2012.

She also expressed her gratitude to ferrets, deer, monkeys and lambs on her Instagram. The former model often posts updates about her family’s farm, which has “13 chickens, 3 ducks, one rabbit, 3 horses and 3 dogs.”

On Out of bounds, Taylor shared that she went to South America to film a documentary about animal trafficking. “I’ve always had a heart for things that don’t have a voice,” she said.

He likes to spend time outdoors

Taylin grew up in western Canada and loves spending time in nature. He enjoys activities such as fishing (especially fly fishing), cross-country skiing and gardening.

When she’s not out and about, Taylin likes to exercise with a light load. She shared her love for pilates on her Instagram, and on her wedding day in 2018, she did yoga before the ceremony.

She started a charity

In April 2020, Taylin co-founded Feeding Nashville with Hayley Hubbard (wife of Florida Georgia Line singer Tyler Hubbard) to provide food to hungry people amid the coronavirus pandemic and after the 2020 tornadoes.

“I said, what if we raise money to pay chefs, who have been laid off due to COVID-19, to create food to give to whoever wants it,” she recalled Out of bounds podcast. “Anyone who is hungry can come and get it.”

Taylin frequently posts about the organization on Instagram and shared that as of September 2020, they have managed to feed more than 25,000 people.
