At the 2023 Australian Open, Tommy Paul achieved a major career milestone, becoming the first American to reach the semifinals since 2009. But the tennis pro was almost overshadowed by his cheering girlfriend, Paige Lorenze.
After winning against Ben Shelton in the quarterfinals, Paul gave her a sweet send-off during an on-court interview. “My girlfriend Paige’s birthday is tomorrow,” he told the crowd. “So if you see her, wish her a happy birthday.”
He also shared a series of photos on his Instagram, writing: “Happy birthday to the birthday bean. Just some of my favorites with you❤️🦉.”
Since then, Lorenze has been traveling all over the world with Paula to show her support.
“I’m so proud of Tommy,” she told online publication Sportskeeda. She went on to praise his “incredible sportsmanship”, calling him a “kind competitor”.
Although she admits that not every match is as “glamorous” as it looks at Wimbledon, she is more than happy to be with him. “I love watching Tommy play and he’s so deserving of all the success he’s had,” she said.
The social media influencer is also the founder of Dairy Boy, a home and lifestyle brand that sells clothing and accessories.

Lorenze grew up in Connecticut and Vermont before moving to New York to attend Parsons School of Design. After graduating in 2021, she built a strong career in social media, working as a model, content creator and influencer.

One look at her Instagram account and it’s clear that Lorenze is a girl who loves fashion, so it’s no surprise that she would use her love of design to launch her own collection.
In 2021, she founded Dairy Boy, a lifestyle and clothing brand. The company currently sells a variety of loungewear, denim and candles, but plans to expand the brand’s offerings.
“I want to build a brand that is a reflection of my style and aesthetic,” she said in an interview with Elite Daily in April 2023.. “I make work jackets that I love, denim that I love, candles that I love. Eventually, I will expand to home equipment as well.”
Speaking with The Sun of the USA a few months later, Lorenze explained that she was far more interested in her business ventures than working on social media.
“My dream is to be a creative director and CEO [Dairy Boy] and as I’m getting older I’m moving away from the world of influencers,” she said, adding, “I’m proud of what I’ve been able to create and it’s been a fun journey.”
She and Paul started dating in 2022

It is not clear exactly when Lorenze and Paul started dating, but by the fall of 2022, they announced their romance on social media.
In early October 2022, Paul posted a carousel on Instagram with the caption “Photos of P.” In the last photo, there was one of the two of them smiling together.
The following month, Lorenze shared their joint column on Instagram, writing “@tommypaull super fan”. In the video, Lorenze and Paul embrace before walking down the street in each other’s arms.
She had several high-profile relationships

Before he met Paul, Lorenze was linked to singer Morgan Wallen and Bachelor contestant Tyler Cameron.
She also dated Armie Hammer for a few months in the fall of 2020, but later said vanity fair she ended the relationship after feeling “unsafe” with the actor.
“He started giving me rules about what I can and can’t do, who I can have and who I can’t have,” she told the novi list in February 2021. “And then I just started feeling really insecure and really sick of things.”
The actor’s lawyer said in a statement to vanity fair“All interactions between Mr. Hammer and his former partners were consensual. They were fully discussed, pre-arranged with his partners, and mutually consensual. The stories being perpetuated on social media are designed to be corrupt in an effort to harm Mr. Hammer, but that doesn’t make them true.”
Lorenze was one of several women who came forward with allegations of misconduct against the actor. In 2023, Hammer denied any criminal wrongdoing, although he did admit to emotionally abusing former partners during an interview with Air Mail.
She was a competitive skier

Lorenze may not be a professional like Paul, but he has an impressive sporting background of his own. She attended Burke Mountain Academy, an elite boarding school in Vermont that offers education and alpine training to competitive skiers.
“Downhill racing has been a big part of my life for a long time,” she said in an interview with Essentially Sports. “It shaped me into the woman I am today and provided me with many life experiences and lessons.”
It’s also a big part of why she’s so impressed with Paula. “I’m very aware of what it takes to have that kind of skill and determination, especially as an individual athlete,” she told Sportskeeda.
She and Paul share a love of horses

Sporting spirit is not the only thing the two have in common — they also share a strong love for horses.
Paul grew up in North Carolina and New Jersey surrounded by animals. In an interview with ATPTour.com, he talked about life on the farm, saying that his parents have a farm in South Jersey with “about 100 chickens, six sheep, two dogs, a horse and a cat.”
Even as a professional athlete, he enjoys farming when he gets the chance. “After Wimbledon I’ll go home and help with the farm,” he said. “Working on a farm is fun.”
He echoed this sentiment in another interview with Tennis.com, saying, “It’s nice to get your hands dirty every now and then.”
Lorenze also enjoys life in the countryside. The self-proclaimed “horse girl” returned to Connecticut in 2022 for a “slower pace of life.” In an interview with Elite Daily, she expressed her love for country life, saying the best part of it was “the fact that I get to ride my horse every day.”
As for her career, her business aspirations are also in line with her love for her country. “My goal is to live on a farm and have horses and be CEO and creative director [of Dairy Boy],” she said The Sun of the USA.

Lorenze supports his boyfriend’s career, often traveling with Paul during his matches.
“I get nervous watching Tommy, but not overwhelmed – as long as he’s trying his hardest and giving it his all on the court, I’m proud of him either way, win or lose,” she said. The Sun of the USA.

During a post-match interview with Tennis TV at the Mexican Open, Paul thanked his team, including Lorenze, before sharing a funny pre-match anecdote. “No one really knows how much we had to do to prepare for this game,” he said. “I had the girl and the trainer dry my underwear this morning, trying to get me ready.”

Lorenze told Sportskeed that now he is learning to play tennis thanks to Paul.
“Tommy gave me tennis lessons, and I played at home. I’m definitely getting into it,” she said, adding that the two joked about playing doubles at the professional level.
She also documented her lessons on Instagram. In one video she shared in March 2023, she wrote: “T said I’ve made a lot of progress 😂🤘🏼.”

Season 2 Netflix Breakpoint gave fans a peek into the dynamic between Lorenze and Paul. The tennis star’s appearance at the Dairy Boy pop-up in New York made it clear that their mutual support runs both ways.
“I’m a businesswoman, so I’m in this public sphere that’s my job. Tommy has always wanted to be a top American player, but he doesn’t really thrive on the media attention,” Lorenze said during the confessional, commenting on her boyfriend’s growing recognition. “I kept telling him, ‘This is a good thing. Just try to enjoy it here and get the recognition you deserve.’ ”
