A Utah teenager who died Friday, Feb. 10, after falling 30 feet while hiking in Cane Creek Canyon has spoken out about his relationship.
According to the police investigation, while hiking the Moab Rim Trail in eastern Utah with her friends, 17-year-old Zoe Afton McKinney tripped and fell “down a steep cliff.” After Zoe collapses, her friends are unable to reach her to safety.
They called 911, prompting police and other law enforcement agencies to arrive on the scene and reach Zoe using harnesses and climbing equipment.
Police reported that they found her “dead from the fall.” Zoe’s boyfriend Lloyd Gist is devastated by the incident.
