Who's The Boss' Danny Pintauro Hospitalized After Scooter Accident Led to a Tear in His Stomach: 'Worst Moment of My Life'

Danny Pintauro said he underwent emergency surgery after a scooter accident.

On Sunday, December 1 Who is the boss of the alum48, revealed that the accident happened on Thanksgiving night when the bike lane he was riding in was “suddenly blocked by cones.”

“I was forced to choose between the van and the pylon,” he said as he sat in the hospital. “The pylons hurt!! I have a horrible scratch on my arm and I was pretty sure I broke my arm. The next morning it was much better so I wasn’t too worried.”

Pintauro revealed that on Saturday, November 30, he started having pains in his chest, stomach and shoulders, adding that the pains became so intense that he could barely breathe.

After his husband, Wil Tabares, rushed him to the hospital, a CAT scan, X-rays and blood tests revealed Pintauro had “an infection in my bloodstream from a ruptured stomach lining — air and stomach acid, etc., escaping into my abdomen.”

“It was the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my entire life. So I had to have emergency surgery last night to repair the laceration,” he said.

“The surgery went well and now that it’s fixed, the pain is pretty much gone, although I’m still in a lot of pain,” Pintauro told his followers. “They just took out the intubation tube, but I have to leave the other tube in my stomach for three days to continue to clear the acid so I don’t disturb the stitches and repair them. Which also means I won’t eat or drink anything for the next three days.”

Pintauro went on to talk about how “wonderful” the doctors and nurses are at Memorial Care Miller Hospital, adding that people should “keep me in your prayers for the next few days that the repair holds and I can get out of here soon.”

“Unfortunately that means any of the Book Nooks I’ve been working on will have to wait a few more days too so I’ll be changing the shipping dates to make that better,” he continued. “I hope that’s okay. This is my first major surgery, my first emergency surgery EVER, but I’m holding on.”

Pintauro added: “It was absolutely terrifying. If anyone wanted to send me flowers, I wouldn’t mind. Lol, just kidding. I’m stressed, hungry, in pain and exhausted. Light a candle for me, okay? Ohhh! They did they x-rayed my arm and it’s not broken! So there’s a bright side.”
