Why Kim and Khloé Kardashian Keep Defending — and Housing — Tristan Thompson After Years of ‘F—ed Up’ Actions

Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian may not support everything Tristan Thompson does, but they certainly won’t cut him out of their lives.

During Thursday’s episode The Kardashiansboth sisters explained why they continued to defend and support the NBA player, despite his “screwed up” actions in the past, including cheating on Khloé multiple times.

Their confession came after Khloé, 39, opened up about Tristan, 32, and his younger brother Amari – for whom he is the main carer now that their mum Andrea has died – who are living with her while his home is being renovated.

“I definitely feel overwhelmed sometimes and I guess stressed, but I’m not the one going through the most pain here,” Khloé said in the confessional.

When producers asked her how her relationship with Tristan was doing, Kim (42) wasn’t shy about expressing how she really felt – even if it would surprise fans.

“I know you’re going to hate me for this, and you’re going to hate us, and you’re going to think Khloé is whatever,” she said. “It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and such a good dad, but he just couldn’t pull himself together in that area to be a faithful boyfriend.”

The SKIMS founder continued: “Obviously you want to hate him for that. Yeah of course his actions and who he is are so fucked up, I can’t deny that and we’ve talked about it and we’ve had our fights about it.. . but he also showed so many decent things and was a really good person and friend.”

Kim then revealed that Tristan has not only proven to be a good father to her and Khloé’s two children – daughter True, 5, and son Tatum, 13 months – but also to her four children, who she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.

“When he saw that I was struggling with my children, he stepped in,” she said. “He started showing up at games, picking them up, taking them out to dinner, and he’ll always stand up for me, especially if it’s about things with me and my ex, and I’ve never forgotten that. I’m never really going to dump someone and act like so that I don’t feel like I can’t grow and develop.”

Later in the episode, Khloé opened up about her own reasoning for keeping Tristan in her life. “I’m not naive about the fact that my ex-boyfriend lives in my house and we’re in really sensitive times,” she said in the confessional, admitting that “Tristan is in the very early stages of grieving [his mom].”

After emphasizing the boundaries she’s set between them, Khloé remarked, “I never want to be somebody that somebody could accuse of misleading them when it comes to love. I think I’m so adamant about it because I was at the reception. foreign and I just don’t think love is something you play with.”

“Tristan already said [that] I’m his person,” she said on camera. “I’m not saying I don’t trust him, but I heard this, and of course, it pissed me off before because I’m like, ‘If I’m… -ing, then why did you act like this towards me and how many times?'”

She added: “I love love and I’m a hopeless romantic, but that won’t change how I feel and what happened.”

Despite Tristan doing her wrong in the past, Khloé vowed to stay true to her morals. In a heart-to-heart with her ex, she told him, “I want my karma to always be great. I don’t condone anything you’ve done… and I’m strong enough that it won’t break on me.”

“We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives because of our kids, so I’m not going to fight it and I’m going to make it as beautiful as possible,” she added.

Khloé further elaborated on their current relationship in the confessional. “What happened between Tristan and I was not a small incident. It was a huge situation that was really a very traumatic experience for me and my life, so I won’t forget it,” she said. “But I’m so proud that I can be kind and mature and show my kids that mommy and daddy can co-parent and I can be there for him in his time of need. Someone I really didn’t want to see just a few months ago, live under your own roof.”

She continued: “I lost a parent, I don’t wish that on anyone. I don’t care what you did to me, this is something beyond my pain. My moral compass tells me to be a good person and support when someone is in need, so everyone does what says your moral compass, I’ll do what mine says.”

At the end of their conversation, Tristan praised Khloé for her “pure and big” soul and expressed his gratitude to his ex.

“You’re a good person at your core, that’s why I was with you,” she replied. “Everyone has done stupid things in their life, it’s just that not everyone does it on a public platform, which sucks… we all, always root for you, always wish you the best. We believe in you as a person… and just remember, you you are not your past.”
