The Season 4 contestant found herself embroiled in a feud between actors and ex-fiancés Josh Demas and Monica Rodriguez on the new Love is blind: After the altar special, which was released on Netflix on Friday.

Although Chelsea, 31, wasn’t directly involved in their heated conversation, Josh later told her about their argument, which centered on what Monica said online about him and their engagement.

Speaking to PEOPLE after the moment, Chelsea says she wasn’t surprised the drama unfolded between Josh and Monica, but she expected the two to be a little more mature about it.

“You can’t go into something like that and not expect drama,” she says. “Everyone has feelings and everyone is a human being, and everyone has had their experience Love is blind. And that’s what I wanted to repeat there.”

“My attitude was like, ‘Well, wait. We don’t need to go there. Yeah, it happened, but let’s acknowledge all your experiences. And Josh, if you’re with Jackie and you’re happy, so be it,'” she continues, referring to Josh’s current girlfriend, actress Jackelina “Jackie” Bonds. “I just wanted everyone to acknowledge and accept it because I feel like it’s a beautiful way and the only way to move on.”

“I was just there and it was coming to me and I said, ‘OK, well if it’s coming to me, I’m going to say how it makes me feel.’ “Nobody can come to me and think they won’t get a rational point of view,” she adds. “Everybody, go home, be happy. Live your lives.”

Chelsea’s husband Kwame Appiah also witnessed the drama but chose to stay away.

“I saw it out of the corner of my eye. I talked to Brett most of that night [Brown] and Marshall [Glaze]. We were kind of in our own world,” recalls Kwame, 33. “I was really into the good vibes movement that night. I wasn’t trying to be part of any drama.”

“I don’t talk or hang out with Josh and Jackie in my regular days, so it’s not something I had to force in that situation,” he notes. “I didn’t want to just say, ‘Oh, we’re all here. Let’s force the conversation.’ So when I saw that they were having their moment, I just said, ‘It wouldn’t be right to force myself into something that, in our day-to-day life, I have no influence over.'”

Fans learned in After the Altar especially that Josh and Monica got engaged in the pods during Season 4 — but it was never shown on camera. Not long after, the two broke up and Josh continued to pursue Jackie.

But Monica – who was “best friends” with Jackie – later opened up about their engagement on social media, causing a rift between her and the new couple. Jackie specifically accused her of being “sloppy” and “vindictive” with her approach to going out in public with her engagement. Josh also accused Monica of being “disrespectful” and a “chaser” during their confrontation at After the Altar.

The trio’s on-camera argument ended with Jackie walking out and asking to leave the venue early. Josh agreed to go, but first made it clear to colleagues Chelsea and Marshall that he was angry about Monica’s actions.

“This is some bullshit—, I’m tired of this drama,” he told them at the restaurant.

Seemingly caught off guard, Chelsea reminded him, “You have Jackie, why does that matter? Let her continue.”

“I never said anything online, I never said anything to her, and then she’s here, like, chasing a violent, for what?” he reacted angrily to Monica’s actions.

Chelsea then corrected everything: “Don’t accuse someone of chasing influence. Get over it and live your life. Take care of your wife and go live your life. That’s all I have to say, man.”
