He was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a person employed or associated with a violent street gang.
According to Atlanta police, Grier was pulled over in a traffic stop at 4 p.m. when the car smelled of smoked marijuana. During the inspection of the car, police officers found a firearm. Grier’s situation worsened when tint was discovered on the vehicle’s windows and he failed to wear a seat belt while driving. Grier’s bail was not accepted when he was brought to court, but he is scheduled to appear in court again, but no exact date has yet been set. The arrest could affect the plea deal he accepted last December.
