Wife Goes Viral for Buying Husband ‘Nobody Cares’ Cake After He Brags of ‘Big Accomplishment’

An Oregon woman has gone viral for celebrating her husband’s latest achievement in a very unconventional way.

On Dec. 5, the husband posted a picture of the cheeky cake his wife surprised him with on Reddit with the caption, “Wife bought me a cake for what I thought was a big accomplishment.”

The accompanying photo shows a cake decorated with rainbow flecks and blue frosting with the words “No one cares!”

The Redditor, who goes by the name BobbyIke, then shared with commenters that he got the cake because he “finished building a website.”

Joe Biden joked as he turned 81 with a Fire Cake: ‘You ran out of room for candles!’

BobbyIke, who owns a printing company, told Today.com that he has been working on the website for about three years and has celebrated every milestone along the way because he is not a web developer.

“Over the years that I was building it, every time I finished any little thing like a button or something, I would show one of my employees,” BobbyIke told Today.com. “Eventually, I think they just got tired of hearing about me, showing them these little, tiny tasks that I accomplished.”

The printing company owner then explained that after one of his celebrations, an employee sarcastically joked that “no one cares” – and that he and his wife found the reaction “hilarious”.

That remark then took hold and “kind of just became the mantra” of the three-year build, BobbyIke explained to Today.com.

Things then came to a head when his wife asked him to pick up a cookies and cream cake from Hungry Hero Bakery in Sherwood, Oregon, where he said he opened the box of cookies and “immediately laughed out loud” because it was “absolutely perfect.”

After the original post, Reddit users commented applauding BobbyIke’s clever cake, while others shared their frustration at his wife’s “harsh” action.

“A lot of the comments on Reddit were, as you can imagine, not great,” BobbyIke explained to Today.com. “We have a relationship where we tease each other when it’s appropriate and support each other when we realize we need it. That’s our kind of humor.”
