Prince William will be by his wife Kate Middleton’s side while she is being treated for cancer.
The Princess of Wales, 42, announced on Friday that she is undergoing cancer treatment and has started preventative chemotherapy, raising questions about whether Prince William, 41, will continue with royal duties.
“The Prince will continue to maintain a balance between supporting his wife and family and maintaining his official duties as he has done since the beginning of the year,” a Kensington Palace spokesman said.
The Prince of Wales may wait a few weeks to return to royal duties as Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, are currently away at school for the Easter half term. Princess Kate may have strategically waited to announce her health publicly until her children were out of the classroom to create space for her family to spend time together privately.
