Will Smith Wraps Filming Bad Boys 4 with Martin Lawrence: ‘Nothin’ But Magic Every Time I’m with My Guy’

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are returning to the big screen!

Two Bad boys cast has officially “FINISHED” filming the fourth film in the franchise, Smith, 55, confirmed Monday.

“WRAPED! Nothing but magic every time I’m with my guy. See you June 7th @BADBOYS 4!!,” Smith captioned an Instagram photo of him and Lawrence, 58, standing together near the Centennial Wheel at Navy Pier in Chicago.

Original Bad boys the film premiered in 1995, starring Smith as Mike Lowrey and Lawrence as Marcus Burnett — two Miami detectives investigating drug trafficking and other crimes.

Although there has been much talk of a possible new movie for years, on January 31, 2023, the cast confirmed the rumors in a now-viral video.

In the video, Smith recorded himself saying he had an “announcement,” before getting into his car and driving to an unknown location.

While on the road, he gave viewers a “hint” by playing “Shake Ya Tailfeather” by Nelly, Diddy and Murphy Lee, which appeared on Bad boys II sound track.

Since then, the duo has been spotted in different cities, including Atlanta and Miami, on the set of the soon-to-be-released film.

In April 2023, Smith and Lawrence appeared via video at CinemaCon, sharing that they were unable to appear in person at the event in Las Vegas because they had a four-week wait to film the sequel.

According to Diversityjoked Lawrence, “We’re not sorry we couldn’t be there.”

Smith added: “We’re glad we’re not there because we’re here and they’re paying us to be here.” He also said they are “hype” and “excited” about Bad Boys 4.

The The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air the actor also missed the opportunity to perform at the 2023 Grammy Awards for the 50th anniversary of the hip-hop tribute due to filming.
