The Prince of Wales, 41, was warmly greeted with cheers from well-wishers when he arrived – taking selfies and waving to fans.

He was snapped beaming as he spoke to parents, carers and young adults from local families as part of the Homewards program – which aims to tackle homelessness across the UK.

The Prince of Wales later joined a meeting of local coalition Homewards Sheffield at the Millennium Gallery – to discuss ways to end homelessness.

They touched on the subject of childhood – to which Wills immediately smiled, before referring to the success of his wife’s projects.

The heir apparent said his wife should have been by his side today, after years dedicated to Early Years projects.

Holding out his palms and grinning, Wills said, “We’re entering my wife’s territory. She needs to be sitting here to hear this.”

Today was the prince’s first appearance since The Sun exclusively revealed footage of Kate visiting Windsor Farm Shop at the weekend.

He unveiled a £1m investment pledge from Homebase, which has committed to furnishing and furnishing new housing projects for those in need.

Wills then headed to a meeting at the Millennium Gallery in the city where he heard from members of the local community who had experienced homelessness.

Princess Kate looks happy shopping with William for the first time since the operation in the video

Prince William’s royal engagement on Tuesday comes just hours after a video of him and Kate was released.

Devoted Wills was seen walking alongside recovering Kate, 42, on Saturday as they strolled just a mile and a half from their Adelaide Cottage home.

The pair carried shopping bags as they wandered through the parking lot of a farm store near Windsor.

Kate was dressed casually in a hoodie and tights, while Wills wore a cap and blue jeans.

But despite the princess looking happy and healthy, crazy conspiracy theories continue to spread.

The Sun last week called on the world to “fire Kate” after she was criticized for editing her family photo for Mother’s Day – before the false stories began to spread.

Even today, outrageous theories are still swirling around X, TikTok and Instagram.

Crazy cynics have tried to say that the footage from the weekend shows a stunt double walking Wills – or that they aren’t royals at all.

‘Leave Kate’

THE Sun led the defense of Princess Kate last week when she was criticized from all sides over the photo-edited saga.

Trolls on social media were quick to attack the Queen-to-be for her editing of a family picture for Mother’s Day.

Media critics also weighed in with idiotic conspiracy theorists, but The Sun stood alone and said: Fire Kate.

Our front page exploded: “Furious attacks on the Queen-to-be for photoshopping a family picture for Mother’s Day are not just absurd.

“Now they look like a campaign of violence against a devoted mom recovering from major surgery who simply wanted to offer the public a perfect portrait of her and her children.

“She meant well, she made a mistake and confessed. Fair enough.

“Now leave her alone to get over her surgery.”

Others hilariously said that artificial intelligence (AI) was used to create the clip.

But royal fans were quick to throw harsh criticism at the wild claims.

One woman said: “If you really don’t think this is Kate then you need to go to Specsavers.”

Another celebrated: “It’s the Princess of Wales. Kate is back.”

One woman proudly posted: “I don’t usually post photos taken outside of public events, but here you go ladies and gentlemen.

“The Prince and Princess of Wales at a local farm shop near their home, as reported this weekend. Can the Kate Middleton conspiracies die down, please.”

On Sunday, The Sun revealed that the Princess of Wales was well enough to go shopping at Windsor Farm store.

Nelson Silva, 40, who recorded the video, was buying a steak when he saw Kate and William in the bread aisle.

He told The Sun: “I noticed a couple picking out loaves of bread and the woman turned her face and I felt like I’d seen that face before. It was familiar. I knew it from somewhere.

“Then William turned around and I thought ‘wait, I know this person’. I said to the staff ‘I think it’s them’ as I paid.

“I went to my car and as they were leaving the store I just took a picture of them. I think they went out the gate from the yard. They just disappeared and I didn’t see the car.

“I just wanted to share the video with my family and show how normal they are.”

He said the pair had obvious “chemistry” and “were super relaxed”.

“I didn’t feel like they were hiding who they were. But they didn’t really know how people were going to react because it was all about where they were and I felt like they just wanted to be quick.

“Kate looked happy and relaxed. They look happy just to be able to go to the store and hang out. Kate looked relieved like it was an accomplishment to go to the store. It felt natural.”

Another eyewitness who watched the footage said it was “exactly what I saw”.

They added: “It’s just a woman shopping with her husband on a Saturday afternoon just like thousands of other couples across the country.

“I’m glad she’s okay and everyone else can see her enjoying life again.”

Experts said the sightings were a “great sign” and showed the country how well it was doing in its three-month recovery process.

The body language expert added that Kate looks “healthy, energetic and happy to be out and about”.

And The Sun’s royal photographer Arthur Edwards said the footage “warmed my heart”.

He added: “The pictures of her smiling really warm my heart and I’m sure millions of others will be delighted to see the princess out there.

“There have been so many rumors about her on social media – but now they can be put to rest.”
