Although William Reynolds has acted in numerous films and television programs throughout his career, he is best known for his role on the ABC police drama FBI From 1966 to 1967, Reynolds played SAC Kendall Lisbon/Franklin Benton in a supporting role. From 1967 to 1974, he regularly appeared in the series as Special Agent Tim Colby. He appeared in a total of 161 episodes, and although there is not much information about the character, he was crucial to the development of the plot. FBI aired 241 episodes over nine seasons from September 1965 to April 1974 and was distributed by Warner Bros. Television Distribution.
William Reynolds served briefly in the United States Army.
William de Clarq Reynolds, born December 9, 1931, enrolled at Pasadena City College and joined the radio department. While performing in small roles on stage, he was spotted by a talent agent, who signed him to Universal Studios in 1952. He made his acting debut in the 1952 romantic film Carrie. He joined the United States Army in 1952 and returned to cinema in 1955 with Cult of the Cobra. This was followed by films such as All That Heaven Allows, There’s Always Tomorrow and Has Anyone Seen My Girl? After that, he decided to work on television because he was tired of playing the same characters over and over again. He later appeared as a guest on an episode of Holiday at Hollow Rock.
Reynolds starred in the 1959 TV series Pete Kelly’s Blues before moving on to a supporting role on the ABC adventure drama series The Islanders from 1960 to 1961. He guest-starred on an episode of the ABC drama series The Roaring 20s. In 1961, William played Johnny Tremayne in an episode of The Brahma Bull. Reynolds appeared on the ABC sitcom The Gallant Men and as Hoodoo Henderson in the 1966 drama Follow Me, Boys! Reynolds continues to appear as a guest star on series such as Dragnet and The Twilight Zone.
He changed careers after appearing in the FBI. In 2004, Reynold became a businessman and attended the Twilight Zone conference in Los Angeles. William was married to Molly Sinclair, an actress. They got married in 1950 and had two children, a girl and a boy. On the other hand, Molly died in 1992.
