WNBA Star Sophie Cunningham Wears Barely-There, Pre-Game Dress (and Her Teammates Think It's a Slam Dunk)

Sophie Cunningham’s latest game day look may be her most exciting yet!

The WNBA star, 28, arrived at her final game with the Phoenix Mercury in a statement look, sticking to the summer with a colorful — and revealing! — mini dress.

Before changing into her jersey for a home game against the New York Liberty, the Mercury guard arrived at Phoenix’s Talking Stick Resort Arena in an aqua-style off-the-shoulder dress with a thigh-high slit.

The dress also featured two midriff cutouts joined by an O-ring detail, showing off some seriously bold bikini lines.

She paired the orange and green mini dress with simple accessories, a pair of brown heels and sunglasses, and wore her hair down, her light blonde locks bouncing as she entered the arena.

In a post shared by Mercury on Xu (formerly Twitter) on Monday, August 26, they appeared to nod to the fact that Cunningham’s fiery gaze evoked Island of love competitor’s style.

Along with a video of her photo shoot at the Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix’s team wrote: “This week a new hot bomb enters the mansion.”

Cunningham also highlighted the outfit on her own social networks. She shared a before-and-after video on her TikTok titled “POV WNBA WALK-INS,” which shows her before arriving at her game — rocking a T-shirt and messy bun — and then during her actual entrance.

“Girl🐿️✨,” she captioned the post and added the hashtags: “#fy #fashion #girls.”

She also highlighted her look in an Instagram post, sharing several angles of her mini dress along with a meme and captioned: “No lie.” In the comments, her friends and fans shared their thoughts.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins wrote “Who ru???” while her co-star Rebecca Allen commented with some emojis: “😍😍😍.”

Another WNBA star known for her everyday look, Olivia Nelson-Ododa of the Connecticut Sun, also gave her stamp of approval, writing, “Fireeeee.”

Cunningham’s fans, meanwhile, filled the comments with praise for the unique gameday ‘fit.

“Just dropped to my knees at whataburger,” wrote one, while another commented, “🔥🔥🔥best game day yet!”
