Wolfgang Van Halen Says Dad Eddie's Death Is 'Not Any Easier' 4 Years Later: 'There's So Much I Can't Share with Him'

More than four years have passed since the death of Van Halen Rocker Eddie Van Halen – and for his son Wolfgang the pain is still fresh.

“He never saw what happened to Mammoth. He never saw me marry. He never saw me in the end,” he explained. “These are moments of some tents that will always have a shade of sadness no matter what.”

Wolfgang married a longtime girlfriend of Andraia Allsop in October 2023 at their Los Angeles home, and his band released his debut album 2021. His song “Distance” was nominated for Grammy 2022, and Mammoth WVH released his second album in 2023.

Wolfgang explained that Eddie, who was 65 when he died, was always one of his greatest fans, which lost him a significant blow to self -esteem.
