Woman, 58, stabbed to death in quiet seaside town as another woman 'known to her', 39, is arrested over 'murder'

The woman was found stabbed to death in a house in the sea city.

The victim, 58, was declared dead at the scene in Bexhill, East Sussex, on Wednesday around 10 pm.

Another woman, 39, was arrested on suspicion of murder, police confirmed today.

The man, 32, was also detained on suspicion of helping the offender.

Sussex police said both remained in custody while the investigations continue.

It is believed that “the thing involved are people known to each other,” said strength.

Sussex police spokesman said: “Police explored a fatal sting of a woman on a property at Baycourt South, Bexhill, arrested a woman for suspicion of murder.

“Emergency service services were invited to a woman who was stabbed just after 10pm on Wednesday, February 12th.

“Despite the efforts of police and paramedic, the 58-year-old victim unfortunately died at the scene from injuries.

“Her next relatives have been informed and received support.

“Officers made an extensive search for the area, and a 39-year-old Bexhill woman was arrested on suspicion of murder.

“The 32-year-old Bexhill man was also arrested for helping the offender.

“Both are currently in custody.”

The main inspector of Detective Campbell said: “Our thoughts are with family and friends of the victim after this tragic incident, and the family is asking for their privacy at the moment.

“We are in the early stages of fast investigation, but it is currently believed that this question included people known to each other.

“I understand that this will be alarming for the community and will be increased police presence for some time.

“We ask everyone who has any information that could help us in our investigation to contact us. You can transfer all the information directly to our main incident public portal (MIPP) following the lower relationship.”
