A passenger opens up about a creepy text message she received from a stranger at the airport.
The woman, named Kirsten, explained the disturbing incident on TikTok while waiting at the airport during her layover.
“I’m at the airport and the scariest thing just happened,” she says as she appears to walk through the terminal. “I’m sitting there on a layover and I get this message.”
He then takes a screenshot of the message and reads it to his followers.
“‘Hi Kristen,’ what, that’s not even my name,” Kirsten begins. “My name is Nate. I saw you and thought you were so beautiful so I had to find a way to talk to you. I saw your number on your luggage tag and decided to text you. I promise this is not as weird as it seems! Give the guy a chance?’”
The pilot bought 30 pizzas for everyone on the plane during the hours-long delay, according to the passenger
“Give the guy a chance?” she says. “First of all, he spelled my name wrong. Second, if he wanted to talk to me so much, why didn’t he come over and talk to me like a normal human being? This just seems like such an invasion of privacy. I have no idea who this guy is. I didn’t notice that the guy was looking at me or anything like that,” she adds.

She also expresses her concern about a foreigner having access to other personal information she has on her luggage tag.
“I’m really weird because I have my address on my luggage tag so he could potentially know where I live now,” says Kirsten.
She ends with a warning to her followers: “A PSA to everyone out there: Turn your luggage tag upside down so your personal information isn’t visible,” she says, adding, “And a PSA to all creeps: do better.”

Others explained that they had already thought about this exact situation and had taken measures to try to prevent it.
“Luggage tags with lids only,” advised one user. Another added: “This happened to occur to me during my last trip so my luggage tag says ‘info on back’.”
A few also said they only have their email addresses on their luggage tags in case they can be used for their real purpose: reuniting them with a lost bag.
