Woman Tells Husband to 'Hold His Pee' During Two-Hour Flight With Newborn and Toddler

A woman sparked an online conversation after she shared that she asked her husband to “hold his pee” on a flight with her and their two children: a three-month-old and a two-year-old.

In a post she shared anonymously on Reddit, the woman says the conversation was sparked by a recent three-and-a-half-hour flight the family took, when they “couldn’t buy seats together” — leaving her and the newborn in the middle aisle seat and him in the next seat. aisle, with a small child in the middle.

“About an hour into the flight, my husband gets up to pee while I’m nursing the baby and as soon as he leaves, the baby crawls over to me,” she explains. “I’m trying to get the baby to sit on my lap but he’s causing the baby to stop eating so the baby is crying on me while I’m trying to hold the baby and not disturb the two people I’m sitting next to.”

To make matters worse, she adds, her husband was then “stuck behind the drinks cart” for 20 minutes.

Later, the same situation happened when her husband got up to go to the toilet again. “The same thing happens,” she writes.

“After the flight, I told my husband how hard it was to balance both boys and asked him if he could just hold his pee,” she continues in the post. “I have to pee so many times while watching the boys, but [I] hold until the timing is better. He said he couldn’t.”

Elsewhere in the post, the woman explains that her husband “pees a lot,” but that he has been to a urologist, who has ruled out any prostate problems or cancer.

“He does work full time in the office and hours go by without urinating when he has calls back to back, so he can handle it,” the woman wrote in the post. – He never peed himself or had an accident.

Now, the woman wants to know if she was wrong.

Commentators have had their say, and many agree that the husband should have waited to go to the bathroom until his wife could take care of the children more easily.

Others accused the husband of “incompetence with guns,” with one writing: “Do you think his colleagues would have been understanding if he was at work and left a presentation midway to go to the bathroom? I guarantee she left and spent 20 minutes in the bathroom while he’s out with a baby and a toddler, he’s not going to be that happy about it.”

“If you’ve never had to breastfeed a newborn with a toddler on you at the same time, then you really have no idea how frustrating and difficult it is,” the commenter added. “All he has to do is communicate properly and not be such a reckless jerk.”

Others questioned why the husband didn’t bring one of the kids into the bathroom with him, writing: “I wonder if he’s trying to take a break from the kids and is using this as an excuse.”

Still others said that the mother should start going to the bathroom on her own.

“Every time she goes to the bathroom, wait until she comes back and then go to the bathroom yourself,” wrote one commenter. “That means he’ll get his needs met because he has to pee so urgently, and you’ll get your needs met by having 10 minutes to breathe after dealing with the stress of both.”
