World Mental Health Day 2023: Every year, October 10 is observed as World Mental Health Day across the world. The day marks the founding of the World Federation for Mental Health in 1948. The World Federation for Mental Health is an international membership organization dedicated to the prevention of mental and emotional disorders, the provision of appropriate treatment and care, and the promotion of mental health.

The theme of World Mental Health Day 2023 is ‘Mental Health is a Universal Human Right’. According to the WHO, “World Mental Health Day 2023 is an opportunity for people and communities to unite behind the theme ‘Mental health is a universal human right’ to advance knowledge, raise awareness and initiate action that promotes and protects everyone’s mental health as a universal human right.”
