Poetry is unique because writers share their overall feelings and what they are going through in their life experiences in an easy to understand way.
World Poetry Day aims to bring people together, make us think about very big issues and even bring peace. The poets are mainly based on the poet’s social issues, as well as consolation and hope.
UNESCO started this day in 1999, mainly focusing on poetry which helps to preserve different languages and cultures. On World Poetry Day, people are encouraged to enjoy poetry, whether reading famous poems or writing their own.
