WWE legend Killer Khan who wrestled Hulk Hogan & Andre the Giant dies aged 76 after suffering ruptured artery

The WWE legend who fought Hulk Hogan and Andrea Diva has passed away at the age of 76.

Masashi Ozawa, also known as Killer Khan, died on Saturday shortly after 10 p.m., allegedly due to a ruptured artery.

Ozawa passed out at the counter of Kanchano’s Jinjo Sakaba in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, and was rushed to hospital, local media reported.

The Japanese legend, originally from Niigata Prefecture, turned to professional wrestling in 1971.

He competed against fellow WWE legends Andre the Giant and “Superman” Hulk Hogan, and was active as a top competitor in Japan and the United States.

Ozawa retired in 1987 and opened his own Izakaya Kanchan’ in the Shinjuku district, which closed in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The retired wrestler also debuted as a singer in 2005 with Furusato Makaka (Japan Crown) and released songs such as Shinjuku Sanhyakugoya.
