“Xernona Clayton: A Life in Black and White” will be a stylish journey through nearly 100 years of Clayton’s life, from her years as an assistant and close friend to Dr. Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King to her groundbreaking television career. with Ted. Turner, which resulted in the establishment of the Trumpet Awards. The Trumpet Awards recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. Clayton created them to honor African Americans who have made significant contributions, overcome great obstacles, and inspired others to succeed.
