She strongly condemned Pakistan’s propaganda campaign aimed at damaging India’s global reputation. She said she felt completely safe and free in Kashmir and stressed that Kashmir was an integral part of India. She said in her speech,
I am not Malala Yousafzai because I am free and safe in my country India. In my native Kashmir, it is a part of India. I will never have to seek asylum in your country. I will never be Malala Yousafzai, but I object to Malala defaming my country, my progressive homeland, as an oppressed nation. I object to all such toolkit members from social media and international media who never care about visiting Indian Kashmir but fabricate stories of oppression there. I urge you to stop polarizing Indians on the basis of religion. We will not allow you to undermine us. This Sankalp Diwas, all I hope is that the perpetrators living in the UK and Pakistan stop defaming our country in the international media or in international human rights forums. Stop the needless selective outrage and stop trying to polarize Indian society by reporting from British living rooms. Thousands of Kashmiri mothers have lost their sons to terrorism. Stop following us and let my Kashmiri community live in peace. Thank you and Jay Hind. ”
