Yash Dasgupta was born in Kolkata on Thursday, October 10, 1985 (age 35; as of 2020). His zodiac sign is Libra. Since his father was frequently transferred due to work reasons, he traveled all over India. Accordingly, he pursued his education in Delhi, Bombay, Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim. When he was in twelfth grade, his mother was diagnosed with cancer. In order to treat his mother, he had to suspend his studies for a period of time. He completed his schooling from Naval High School, Mumbai. He graduated from Madhya Pradesh. He attended acting workshops at Roshan Taneja Acting Institute. He received his dance training from Shiamak Davar Dance Academy in Mumbai.

Yash Dasgupta started his career as a model. In 2006, he won the title of “Glam King” at the Unish Kuri Streax Glam Hunt in Kolkata. He made his television debut in 2009 in the Colors TV show “Koi Aane Ko Hai”.
He has played several memorable roles in many Hindi television serials such as “Suraj Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi” in Bandini (2009), “Ketan Sanghvi” in Basera (2009), Na Aana Is Des Laado (2010 ) and Viraj’ in Adaalat (2012). He made his debut on Bengali television in Star Jalsha’s drama series “Bojhena Se Bojhena” (2013-2016), playing the role of “Aranya Singha Roy, Radhe”.

- He has been passionate about acting since he was a child. He never followed his family’s advice to study seriously and instead turned his attention to extracurricular activities. In the past, he only participated in dramas and did not care about the role he wanted to play. The only thing that matters to him is being on stage and that’s how he realizes his passion for acting.
- Once, when Yash went to his aunt’s house in Kolkata for a vacation, his aunt named him Unish Kuri Streax Charm Hunt. He entered the competition but was rejected in the preliminary rounds. When he was about to leave for Mumbai, he got a call from Anand Bazaar Patrika and they told him that he had been selected.
- While working as an actor in Mumbai, he worked as a gym manager.
- When Yash was in Mumbai, he got a call from Star TV offering him the role of ‘Lord Rama’ in the serial ‘Seeta’. At the Star TV office, he exchanged phone numbers with Poonam, the casting director of Venkatesh Films. Yash was selected for the role of ‘Rama’ but was later cast for another character ‘Aranya’ in the serial ‘Bojhena Se Bojhena’.
