Her name first became public when she killed the singer Selena Quintanilla on March 31, 1995. Namely, before the murder of the queen of Tejano music, Yolanda was the president of Selena’s fan club and the manager of the singer’s boutiques. When Selena’s family found out about Yolanda’s embezzlement, they removed her from her job. But in return, Yolanda killed Selena on March 31, 1995. He says, “Selena, when she walked into the room, she kept trying to guilt me into not following through with her and how everything was going to fall apart,” Saldívar said on the show. “My emotions were so high and it hurt.”
