Most people can only find two of the three faces only to discover that there are actually ten in the image.
Nicknamed the “Tree of National Leaders,” the painting includes the faces of famous figures including former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.
But who the drawings should represent has been a matter of debate for a long time.
Some have claimed that the drawing dates to 1880 for Harper’s Illustrated, making it unlikely that any of these leaders are depicted.
If you look closely, you will see ten faces carved into the branches of the tree, surrounding its stump.
Some are facing each other, while others are looking away.
