You have the eyes of a hawk if you can work out this two-headed cat optical illusion

A stunning optical illusion of a “two-headed cat” is making social media users question their eyesight.

The Jackson County Animal Shelter posted a wild photo of the apparently mutant creature on its Facebook page, sparking a huge debate online.

“Adopt this two-headed cat and get a great deal! Just $80! Double the love,” the shelter said.

“Sour cream and onions are ready to go home today.”

A Michigan company has shared an optical illusion of two kittens that appear to share the same body.

However, when you look closely, you’ll notice that the two kittens are actually snuggling very close to each other.

Turns out the cats are actually just sisters looking for a loving home to adopt.

Lydia Sattler, director of the animal shelter, had no idea that her hilarious post would spark a huge debate online.

“They were so adorable and snuggled together that they could have been just one cat,” Sattler told the Detroit Free Press.

“I knew it would spark a debate, but I didn’t expect the response it got.”

Some commenters fell completely for the clever caption, while others responded to clarify what was really going on.

Sattler said that the staff found the online debate super funny and were happy to have a laugh at the silly situation.

“Some people were upset that it wasn’t real, but most understood the post and enjoyed it,” Sattler said.

If nothing else, the post has raised more awareness for the sweet siblings still available for adoption.

“They are only four months old and they are extremely sweet kittens,” Sattler told the Free Press.

“Hopefully the fact that there are two of them and not one doesn’t keep them here any longer. Just think, now they’re celebrities, what a great adoption story.”
