Young and restless alum Jordi Vilasuso and his wife Kaitlin are expecting their third child!
Jordi, 42, shared an Instagram post on Friday celebrating the couple’s “growing family” and reposted a heartfelt message Kaitlin, 37, posted on her account the same day.
In her caption, Kaitlin detailed that they are “expecting a precious addition to our family in January” and asked fans to “join us in prayer” for their unborn daughter after previously losing two children and learning she needed surgery during current pregnancy.
“Thank you for your prayers for our growing family, friends!” Jordi began his caption, which was posted alongside a family photo of the actor, his wife and their two children — Riley Grace, 10, and Everly Maeve, 7 — who had their unborn sibling’s sonogram.
“Also, I know it was not easy to express my love, but your openness and call to prayer inspire me and I know I will do the same for others! With faith and love!” he continued.

Jordi — who played Rey Rosales Young and restless between 2018 and 2022 — then reposted the caption his wife wrote in her own Instagram post.
“Sweet friends! We come to you with big, exciting news and perhaps an even bigger prayer request. We are extremely excited to say that we are expecting a precious addition to our family in January!” Kaitlin wrote, before opening up about their heartbreaking journey to third parenthood.
“After two losses, this precious girl (💕) is the answer to our prayers and has already filled our hearts with so much hope and joy. But while she is growing perfectly, we found out last week that my body is struggling to hold her and there is a danger of her coming prematurely,” she said.
Kaitlin explained at the time that “after numerous visits to some amazing doctors,” the couple made the decision to “undergo a procedure called a cerclage in hopes that it would help keep her safe in my belly.”
According to the American Pregnancy Association, a cervical cerclage is a surgical procedure in which the cervix is closed with stitches to prevent premature birth.

“There are risks to the procedure, but we stand by faith that God didn’t bring us this far – with Riley and Everly feeling her move in my belly night after night – or bring us this far (20 weeks!) for her to not to breathe the breath of life and have a long, beautiful one, Katlin added in her caption.
The mom-to-be then acknowledged the support of fans and followers in the past and revealed that she is undergoing the procedure next Wednesday.
“Although we did not expect to share the news like this, you have all covered our family with love and prayer many times before and we humbly ask that you do so again. I’m scheduled for surgery on Wednesday night and we’re praying that my stomach stays comfortable until then, that our doctors don’t run into anything unexpected, and that their God-given skill leads to a successful surgery – specifically, that my water doesn’t break during the procedure and that I’m alone the procedure doesn’t induce labor,” she wrote, adding, “Praying for many more boring weeks where I’ll be mostly lying in bed while this little girl gets stronger and ready for this world.”
“I know that God knows the desires of our hearts. I know that He is weaving her in my womb, that she is already fearfully and wonderfully made, that He has a plan for her life. I ask that you join us in praying that that plan will be on this side of heaven. 🙏🏻 We will keep you informed. Thank you for your love always,” Kaitlin’s emotional post concluded.
Last month, the couple – who married in 2012 and welcomed their first daughter the same year – celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary, with Jordi posting a sweet tribute to his wife on social media.
“My one and only, @kaitlinvilasuso ! They say 11 is a lucky number…well, I feel extra lucky to have you by my side all these years!” he wrote in the title of his post.
“This year in particular had so much to celebrate as we went through this wonderful journey together! May God continue to bless us, our girls and our family as we love each other, grow together and continue to be faithful to each other no matter what life throws at us. You are my stone green eyes!” continued Jordi.
His wife, meanwhile, announced her own celebration of their wedding that same day.

“ELEVEN wonderful years of being able to say ‘I still say it’… Happy anniversary my love. ❤️🥰” Kaitlin began her confession, which was accompanied by photos of the couple and their children laughing and hugging on a rooftop.
She continued: “Thank you for filling my soul with joy and peace, for fighting day by day for us and our family and for being the good man that you are.” Words could never describe how grateful I am that it is YOU who hold hands with which I raise beautiful little people and continue to build my life every day. Life can never be long enough. I love you forever @jordivilasuso.”
The sweet post ended with a cheeky nod to her continued attraction to her husband of more than a decade: “Ps ur hot 😉😚.”
