A PHOTO of hikers drinking whiskey has made people refuse to believe that there really are four hands.
The head-scratching optical illusion has been shared online once again, with viewers baffled by the mystery of the extra bottle.

The damn video shows Patrick DeIvernois, dressed in a kilt and orange jacket, after a hike with friends.
They’re clinking miniature bourbon bottles to celebrate the completion of the 2,200-mile Appalachian Trail in the US.
At first glance it appears to be three outstretched arms, but look closer and you see four bottles.
The image has not been digitally altered, and it gives people a headache.
One social media user said: “I’m confused…why are there only 3 hands and 4 bottles?”
Another said: “My brain refuses to believe there are 4 people in this photo.”
And another said: “Looking at this photo, I wonder if I’m blind or if there’s something else here.”
If you look at the shape over Patrick’s shoulder and wonder if it’s a fourth person, sorry, it’s just his backpack.
Look at the bottles again and you might see a blue woolen glove.
It’s hard to see at first because it goes almost perfectly with Patrick’s kilt.
But where is the hand?
One distraught Twitter user said: “I reached up, staring at those blue fingers for a good 30 seconds trying to figure it out.
“Several solutions crossed my mind. Perhaps the child is under the bunch of hands.
“Maybe someone is after the orange guy. Then I saw him.”
The truth comes out when you finally see the camo-printed sleeve extending from the left side of the image.
One viewer quipped, “This is literally the first time I’ve seen camouflage.”
Last month, a brilliant optical illusion showed a chess queen hidden by an “invisibility camouflage cloak.”
And the optical illusion house distracts drivers as it appears to spin thanks to its clever design.
