“There’s a lot of pent-up energy,” the ‘Insecure’ star teased while discussing her desire to remain a virgin until marriage

Yvonne Orji is still saving herself for marriage, but she has a warning for her future partner.

When Chelsea Handler asked Uncertain star about her commitment to remain a virgin during her appearance Dear Chelsea podcast, Orji, 39, confirmed that she keeps her word and is waiting for the right person to come along.

“I am,” she said as Handler, 48, replied, “Oh my God, I love this, this is the most original guest we’ve ever had. And what are you, 39? Oh my God. That dam is going to break one day, honey.”

“People were like, ‘Oh Yvonne,'” laughed Orji, noting that her future husband will have to prepare once she sheds her inhibitions. “Pray for him, whoever he is, there’s a lot of pent-up energy here with me.”

Claiming that she will reach her “sexual climax when you start having sex”, Handler suggested that she would “need several men” to satisfy her desires.

“Yvonne went from virgin to polyamory,” Orji said, bursting into laughter.

The Black lady skit the alum was not shy about revealing the intimate details of her personal life. In an interview with PEOPLE in 2017, she revealed that she is a committed Christian who plans to remain a virgin until marriage.

“I’m open, because why not?” she said why she shares the private details of her sex life. “I am rooted in who I am.”

She added: “Before anything from [the fame] happened, I sat down with myself and God and thought, when I succeed, how do you want me to represent you while I’m here? It was like, okay, I know why I’m here. It’s to be proud.”

Orji admitted that many people would be interested in her commitment and stated that she was always more than willing to explain to anyone who asked.

“People ask about it because they’re curious or maybe they don’t understand,” she said. “How will they even understand if I don’t talk about it? They can inform your curiosity, as opposed to everyone being in the dark and just kind of creating their own story about it.”
