Yvonne Strahovski was born on Friday, July 30, 1982 as Yvonne Jacqueline Strzehovski (2020) and her birthplace is Wellington Downs, Australia. Her star sign is Leo. Yvonne has loved acting since she was a child. In an interview, she said:
I took my first drama class when I was 12. I was always making videos and doing little sketches at home.”
She attended St. Sabina’s College in Sydney, Australia. Growing up in a Polish-speaking family, Yvonne never trusted her English vocabulary skills at school. Later, Yvonne’s English teacher, Mrs. Halliday, introduced her to Shakespeare’s plays, literature, poetry and classical novels, subjects in which she excelled. In 2003, she graduated from the Nepean Theatre, Western Sydney University (formerly Western Sydney University) with a degree in acting. While at university, she co-founded a small theatre company called Sauna Productions Theatre, Sydney. After completing her studies, she worked as an actor in Australia for three years before landing the lead role in the American action comedy Chuck (2007).

She came into the limelight after playing the role of CIA agent Sarah Walker in the American spy drama Chuck & Chuck (2007). In the series, Sarah Walker is assigned by the CIA to protect Chuck Bartowski after he unknowingly downloads the secret contents of a government computer called Intersect into his brain.
She rose to fame for her role as serial killer Hannah McKay, the love interest of lead actor Dexter Morgan, in Showtime’s Dexter (2012).
