Zac Efron Revives 2010s Side-Swept Bangs While Filming New Movie in Los Angeles

Zac Efron is giving fans the flashback they didn’t know they needed.

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, the 37-year-old actor was spotted on the set of a movie in Los Angeles sporting a fringe and side-swept hairstyle, reminiscent of his iconic hairstyle he sported during the late 2000s and early 2010s.

The former teenage heartthrob wore the hairstyle with a white T-shirt, gray sweatpants, light gray sweatpants and flip-flops.

Although it is not clear what project the actor was filming, he has signed a contract to star in an upcoming film directed by Jody Hill. Famous earlier this summer.

According to Deadline , Efron will star opposite Phoebe Dynevor and play the dual roles of “over-the-top fan” Lance Dunkquist and “Hollywood heartthrob” James Jansen. It is based on the novel of the same name by Blake Crouch.

“Lance Dunkquist has the face of a movie star. Not just any movie star – Lance has been mistaken for Hollywood star James Jansen 228 times. And now Lance is about to go to LA to make his dream come true. No matter what it takes,” the synopsis explains.

After being awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last December, the movie star spoke with PEOPLE about how his parents, Starla Baskett and David Efron, were instrumental in his early success.

“My mom and dad, they’re the reason I’m here today. They believed in me, and I don’t know how they did it. It must have been hard driving me back and forth to auditions when I was 15, three hours from Arroyo Grande here, if only I had such a small chance,” he told PEOPLE at the time.

“They believed in me and stayed by my side, by my side, through it all. And I think they’ve made a lot of sacrifices to support me over the years,” Efron continued.
